The next event in Alan Archibald's Testimonial year is a 'A Question of Sport' night on Friday March 20th in the Alan Rough Lounge at Firhill. This event is very generously sponsored by IGNIS.
As the title suggests this evening, complete with cameraman and sound technicians, will follow the format of the popular TV quiz programme 'A Question of Sport' but with a distinct Thistle tint to it.
Doors open at 7:30pm and in addition the main part of the night there will be Question and Answer session during a part of the evening. The bar in the Alan Rough Lounge will stay open until 1am so with Thistle not in action until the Sunday there's no excuse not to stay and enjoy yourself to the very end of the evening.
Four teams will be vying to win one of the most coveted prizes available. Following two semi-finals, the two winners will battle it out in the final.
The four teams will comprise of a team, led by the always competitive Ian McCall, of the Current Management Team, a Thistle Legends Team which comprises of Alex Rae, captain on the 1971 League Cup winning team, Frank Coulston and Robert Reid and a team made up from the sports media. The fourth team will be a Supporters Team with the three places in that side auctioned off at the start of the night.
Tickets for an event that aims to be a light hearted, fun evening are priced at £10. Tickets are available from any testimonial committee member Tickets, subject to availability, will also be available on the night.
