Just under a fortnight ago we had the pleasure of announcing the signing of six new Modern Apprentices as the Club continues to expand in the very important area of Youth Development.
Today we are equally pleased to be able to announce the signing of a further four players who join the Club as Modern Apprentices.
Jordan Moffat and Dale Keenan, who were previously on the books of Celtic, will begin a two year apprenticeship at Firhill. Both are midfielders with Jordan having represented Scotland at under 15 and under 16 levels.
Meantime former Motherwell pair Bradley Halsman and Gavin Griffin will complete the second year of their Modern Apprenticeship here at Firhill. Bradley is a midfielder while Gavin is a left back.
Said Thistle General Manager Ian Maxwell;
“We are delighted to have signed these boys. It is a further expansion of the youth set up at the Club and we feel that these four, as do the other six that we have signed, have a real chance to develop into first team players here at Firhill.”
The arrival of ten new Modern Apprentices at the Club over the summer takes the total number of players at Firhill under the scheme to thirteen as some real depth is added to the youth structure at Firhill.
We wish them all well for the future.
