Striker Heads Out on Loan

Striker Kieran Burns, who scored twice for the reserves against Ayr United on Tuesday afternoon, has left Thistle on a temporary basis joining Stagecoach West of Scotland Premier Division side Clydebank on a 93 day loan.

Kieran first broke into the Thistle first team towards the end of the 2009-1010 season but had a miserable time of things last season with injury, making just a couple of substitute appearances at either end of the season.

Although he hasn’t, as yet, featured in the Thistle first team this season Kieran has scored three times in two reserve games and his temporary switch to Clydebank, who play at the highest level of Junior football, is seen as the ideal opportunity for Kieran to gain regular first team football.

Clydebank are at home to Arthurlie tomorrow and we wish Kieran well for that game and for the duration of his stay with Clydebank and look forward to welcoming him back to Firhill at the end of his loan.
