Partick Thistle FC is delighted to announce Glasgow Taxis Ltd as an official partner of the club in a two-year agreement which brings together two city institutions.
Glasgow Taxis Ltd, the largest taxi company in Scotland and biggest in the UK outside London, becomes “Official Taxi Provider” to the Jags and will benefit from its “Your City’s Friend” brand being on display throughout The Energy Check Stadium At Firhill.
As part of the deal, a specially designed Partick Thistle FC liveried taxi will hit the streets this winter however, for the avoidance of doubt, this will not be used to transport the first team to either Alloa or Greenock.
Welcoming Glasgow Taxis Ltd to Thistle’s family of partners, Chief Executive Gerry Britton said: “This is a perfect match for Partick Thistle – an iconic Glasgow brand with an offering that is of value and relevance to our supporters. In addition, Glasgow Taxis undertake significant charitable work which aligns with our own values as a community club and those of our other partners, including our principal sponsor Just Employment Law.

Glasgow Taxis is a friendly society run on behalf of its members and drivers, with all vehicles being wheelchair accessible and all drivers fully licensed and certified.

Glasgow Taxis Ltd recently launched a new fixed price feature on its app, guaranteeing a set fare for any journeys being booked immediately within Glasgow. Travelling from Glasgow city centre to Firhill is an £8 fixed price, equating to less than £1.50 per head if filling a six-seater.
