The captain of the side, Abdul is entering his third season as a Jag having moved north from Crewe Alexandra in the summer of 2014. The tough tackling Ghanaian is a valuable player for Alan Archibald with his high quality performances in a defensive midfield position. Abdul underwent knee surgery towards the end of last season but is now back his customary role from the start of this league season.
