In Partick Thistle's 107th Development League fixture, the Jags have finally recorded a 0-0 draw.

It was an entertaining game even though defences were well on top during the course of the 90 minutes.

A Ranger free kick is deflected into the arms of Herd, who prevents a corner, and Thistle can breathe again.

Thistle break through McDaid. His low fizzing cross is inches away from Lamont at the back post.

Rangers clear the corner but Thistle keep possession deep in the home sides half.

McMullen wins the header ahead of Senderos to clear.

Thistle clear the corner and keep possession patiently. McLaughlin advances into the Rangers box and tries to pick out McDaid but his pass is poor and Rangers can clear.

Close from the home side. Rudden heads the ball back to Crooks, who beats Herd to the ball. His header hits off the woodwork before being hacked behind for a corner.

Another decent cross from Lamont but neither McDaid or Wilson can send it goalwards.

Burt whips the ball wide of target and Herd has another goal kick.

McInally whips over a cross which is taken off the toes of McDaid by Senderos.

McDaid trundles an effort towards goal but McCrorie gathers.

Forrester battles with McInally before unleashing a powerful effort from inside the box. Herd pushs the ball away strongly.

McLaughlin cuts into the box but can't pick out a Jags  body in the box.

Cerny gets 45 minutes of action under his belt on his return to competitive action.

Rangers bring all the defensive threats forward for a free kick but Thistle manage to scramble clear.

Forrester lashes a shot wildly over the bar from outside the box.

McLaughlin latches on to a loose ball but can't pick out Wilson with his pass.

Penrice cuts the ball back from the left hand side. Lamont meets it but can't direct it on target with enough power to beat McCrorie.

Docherty whips over a free kick but it is comfortable for McCrorie.

A long ball from Syme is destined for Penrice but the ball skids out of play for a goal kick.

Bodies collapse in the box as the corner is swung over. McMullin holds off his marker to win the header but it is straight at McCrorie.

McInally's cross is headed behind for the first corner of the game by Wilson.

The game has emerged into a gritty midfield battle with neither goalkeeper being tested well. Both teams are working hard to gain a grip in the game.

Burt cuts the ball back for Rudden but the striker fails to connect and Thistle can clear.

Forrester fires an effort from distance straight at Cerny.

Penrice has been lively in the opening 15 minutes whipping over another dangerous cross which is just too deep for McCarthy.

Jeffries fires wide from 25 yards with Cerny scrambling across goal.

McInally advances down the right hand side charging into the box. He pokes the ball past the defender and goalkeeper, going parallel with the goalline. He can't quite catch up with the ball to poke it home from a couple of yards out.

Docherty's free kick falls to McLaughlin but a Rangers toe pokes the ball away from danger. Penrice crosses the second ball into the box but McCrorie claims.

McLaughlin's poor pass is picked upon by a Rangers attacker. Forrester cuts inside curling an effort over the bar from the edge of the box.

First touch of the evening for Cerny as he grabs a cross from the left hand side.

An encouraging start from the young Jags as they take an early control in the midfield. Penrice is harshly adjudged to have fouled a Gers attacker.
