Partick Thistle can confirm that Scott Fox has chosen to invoke the relegation release clause in his contract and will leave the club with immediate effect.
Scott has enjoyed two spells at Firhill since first turning out for the Jags, originally as a trialist, in late 2010. The goalkeeper played an integral role in Thistle winning the 2012/13 First Division title, as well as ensuring the club’s Premiership status was retained.
Scott left Thistle for Ross County in the summer of 2015, but returned to Maryhill last July. He featured 31 times for the club during our most recent campaign, racking up 181 appearances overall across his two spells.
The board of directors and management would like to thank Scott for his service to Partick Thistle Football Club.
