Our latest matchball sponsor delivered a little bit of festive cheer last Saturday as part of their sponsorship package.
Forrest Precision Engineering, who signed up to support the club with a five-year back of shirt partnership at the start of the season, took out the matchball sponsorship for our game against Peterhead and wished to use it to spread some Christmas joy to a family within the local community.
Working closely with the Partick Thistle Charitable Trust, Forrest Precision Engineering chose to donate some of their package to the Robertson family. Delivered by club partner Glasgow Taxis, the young family, who live right round the corner from Firhill, received a Pie Sports pack of pies and bovrils as well as sweets, popcorn and soft drinks donated by the Woodside Inn.
In addition, Forrest Precision purchased three Thistle away tops, fully customised with the name and number chosen by the younger members of the Robertson family, to make it a very special afternoon.
Scott Forrest from Forrest Precision Engineering said “It’s been a tough 2020 and we wanted to spread a little bit of festive spirit to a family in the local community who might not have had the best time of it during the last 12 months. Thanks to the Partick Thistle Charitable Trust, we were able to help provide a little bit of pre-Christmas cheer to the Robertson family and although Thistle didn’t win, we hope it has created a couple of happy memories going into the festive period.”
Amanda Robertson said “A massive thank you to Forrest Precision Engineering and the Partick Thistle Charitable Trust for making what was a very special Saturday for all of us. Although the result wasn’t what we wanted, it was a fab day all round and we just want to say thanks to everyone for making it happen for us.”
