1921 centenary celebrations – fans’ update and appeal

This April will mark 100 years since Thistle’s famous Scottish Cup triumph in 1921 and we are working with club partners to provide a number of ways fans can celebrate this special date.

Thanks to the support of volunteers and research undertaken over the past few months, important historic documents and reports have been located which will be shared in the months ahead including in our Road To The Final story which will kick off next week.

We are also working with O’Neills and Greaves Sports on retail products which will be launched soon – and supporters can look forward to new video content telling the story of our cup success as well.

The club is very grateful to those with family links to players, staff or supporters involved in the final and will be back in touch with them in the coming weeks to gather more information and interviews.

Today we would like to renew that appeal to make sure we can engage with anyone with a link to the 1921 Scottish Cup success and give them the opportunity to be part of our celebrations.

If you can help, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Are you a descendent of one of the players or management team from that 1921 Final?
  • Was a member of your family or someone you know at the 1921 Final?
  • Further, we know a very small number of very lucky Jags fans were at both the 1921 and 1971 Finals – if this was a member of your family or friend of yours we’d love to hear from you.
  • Do you hold any memorabilia from the 1921 Final or from family members of friends supporting Thistle at the time, whether scarves, hats, tickets, programmes or other?

Please get in touch by emailing   with many thanks for your support.
