Partick Thistle season ticket holders
With the easing of restrictions, season ticket holders can now sit on their purchased season ticket seat with no social distancing or social bubbles required. There will be no time slots provided for entry although we encourage Jags fans to arrive at Firhill a little earlier than normal to prevent crowds congregating outside the turnstiles.
Partick Thistle non-season ticket holders
Any Jags fan who doesn’t have a 21/22 season ticket can purchase tickets for cinch Championship matches on a game by game basis.
Tickets are available now to buy for our cinch Championship match against Greenock Morton.
Ticket prices for this match are priced at:
Adults – £20
Concessions (Over 65s, students, disabled supporter including carer, 16-18 year olds) £15
Under 16 – £5
Purchases on matchday
Ticket sales on matchday will be available by purchasing online only. There will be no sale of tickets on matchday over phone, at the executive offices or around the stadium.
There will be no cash gates available on matchday for supporters but tickets can be purchased online right up until kick off.
Away Supporters
Ticket sales for Greenock Morton will be handled directly by Greenock Morton. An allocation of tickets for the Colin Weir stand have been sent to Morton to sell.
There will be no cash gates available on matchday for away supporters.
Socially distanced section
The recent announcement about easing restrictions is welcome news as we can welcome more of the red and yellow army back to Firhill.
However, for a number of supporters we know this will bring mixed emotions. While restrictions continue to be lifted, for a section of Thistle fans this will bring additional anxiety about attending Firhill.
We want to welcome all of our supporters back to Firhill and to help reduce any potential anxieties we have designated a socially distanced section within the Jackie Husband Stand.
This socially distanced section will be located within sections 8 and 9 of the Jackie Husband Stand. In this space, social distancing of 2 metres will be observed and the wearing of face masks will be required. This area will be stewarded to ensure fans are kept safe.
Any season ticket holders who wish to utilise this section are requested to contact the ticket office in advance – this will allow us to ensure all season ticket holders who wish to be situated in this area will be accommodated.

You can purchase your 50/50 ticket in person at Firhill with our sellers being placed around the stadium. All payments will be contactless with a new process in place for our matchday staff. To reduce the handling and contact points between supporters and our matchday staff, supporters will not be issued with a physical ticket. Our staff will record your contact details on the back of the 50/50 slip before entering it into the draw.
The winner of the 50/50 draw will be announced at half time and the winner will be contacted by the club next week.
Tickets to enter cost just £1 each with no limit on the amount of tickets you can purchase. Remember, the more tickets you purchase, the better your chances of winning!

There have been some important changes to the matchday experience at Firhill.
Kiosks located within Firhill will re-open for this fixture offering a full range of the usual food and drink you would expect on matchday.
Firhill is transitioning towards being a cashless stadium. As we make this move across to cashless, our kiosks will accept cash and card payments for the next couple of home fixtures. We will update supporters at the point when our kiosks will no longer accept cash.
Matchday information will be emailed to all season ticket holders and registered email addresses on our mailing databases on the morning of the game.
Season Ticket Holders affected by COVID-19
Any season ticket holder who is due to be self-isolating on Saturday, or who develops Covid-19 symptoms between now and matchday should not attend Saturday’s fixture. In this event, please contact to update us. We will de-activate your season card for this fixture and provide access to the live stream of the match.

Greenock Morton are the opposition this weekend as Partick Thistle look to get back on track in the cinch Championship. The Jags suffered their first defeat of the new league season this past Saturday, losing 3-1 to Arbroath, but now look to bounce back against Gus MacPherson’s side. The Maryhill men last played at Firhill on the opening day of the Championship season when a late Scott Tiffoney goal earned them all three points against Queen of the South and they’ll hope to get the same result against the ‘Ton this weekend. Jags boss Ian McCall spoke to ptfc.co.uk ahead of the clash:
“We want to bounce back from what was a disappointing result on Saturday. Our recent record in the league stretching back to last season has been exceptional though so we’re not panicking after one defeat. It just makes this Saturday’s game a bit more important and we know it won’t be easy to get the result we want.”
Reflecting further on the loss at Gayfield Park, the manager acknowledged the self-inflicted nature of some of Thistle’s wounds.
“It was a tough game up there and we made a couple of mistakes which really cost us in the second half. Arbroath came out quickly after half-time which we just didn’t match. A lot is made about them being a part-time team but you look at some of their players like Tam O’Brien and he could play for any team in the league.”
Tunji Akinola came off the bench in the first half to make his Thistle debut at the weekend and Ian says the Englishman is settling well at the club.
“I’ve actually had the chance to show him around the West End a bit this week and we’ve sorted him out a place to stay which is great for him. He came on and did pretty well I thought in difficult circumstances. It’s a very tough game to begin with, never mind when you have to jump in with half an hour already played or whatever it was but he’s had another week’s training and will be an asset for us this season.”
The chance for Thistle to get back on track comes in the form of a game against Greenock Morton and McCall knows to expect a stern test from the Cappielow outfit.
“As I said earlier, we know it isn’t going to be easy because nothing is in this league. They went to Hamilton and got a really good win in their last away game so I reckon they’ll come here with belief that they can do the same to us.
“We have to make sure we don’t just forget everything we’d done well in our first two games just because we’ve had that setback. If we can get a win this weekend then it would be three wins from four which I’d be very happy with as a start to the season.”
Steven Bell, Ross Docherty and Jake Hastie all missed out with knocks as the Jags travelled to Arbroath last week and the gaffer gave us an update on the trio.
“Ross Docherty and Jake Hastie have been back in training and haven’t had any problems so far so as it stands they’d come into the squad for us. Both of them worked closely with the physio Jordan and came back to training looking good so that’s a boost. For Steven, we need to wait a bit longer and see how he is so he won’t be back for Saturday unfortunately.”

Following their first defeat of the 2021/22 cinch Championship season Partick Thistle were looking to bounce back as they welcomed Greenock Morton to Firhill.
Ian McCall made four changes to the side that lost at Gayfield the week before with Harry Stone, Lewis Mayo, Ciaran McKenna and Ross MacIver coming out of the starting line-up to be replaced by Jamie Sneddon, Tunji Akinola, Shea Gordon and Ross Docherty who returned to the squad having missed the trip to Arbroath through injury. Jake Hastie was named in the squad for the first time since signing and Thistle Weir Youth Academy players Ben Stanway and Ji Stevenson were also on the bench with him.
Thistle started quickly and forced Jack Hamilton into his first save of the match after eight minutes. Brian Graham pinched the ball off Alan Lithgow in the Morton half, poking it towards Zak Rudden who promptly took aim from 30 yards. The striker’s right-footed shot bounced up just in front of Hamilton but the ex-Hearts ‘stopper was able to turn the ball round the post.
The Morton resistance didn’t last much longer though as Kevin Holt scored from the resulting corner. Kyle Turner delivered one of his trademark corners into the visitors’ penalty area and Holt was first to it, guiding a header towards the top corner. Neither the goalkeeper nor the man on the post could get to it and the ball found the back of the net to give the Jags the lead.
There was almost a second quickly after as stand-in right-back Shea Gordon fed Scott Tiffoney through on the right-hand side of the Morton box. The winger tried to beat Hamilton high at his near post but the Cappielow custodian reacted well to push the shot over the bar.
Thereafter Morton enjoyed a spell of dominance, however, they failed to convert that into chances and the Jags actually continued to threaten on the break. A chipped ball into the box was brought down by Zak Rudden and the former Falkirk man turned away from his marker before firing towards goal. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t get the intended whip on the shot and his attempt sailed into the John Lambie Stand.
After a very even first half, Thistle were keen to put the game to bed early in the second and that came to fruition as Zak Rudden scored within two minutes of the restart. The Jags applied some initial pressure straight from kick off and couldn’t find a way through so the ball was worked over to Richard Foster on the left-hand side. He lifted a pass over the Morton backline to get Scott Tiffoney into a crossing position and the number seven lofted the ball into the centre of the box where Zak Rudden was waiting. He let the ball drop and volleyed towards goal, finding the back of the net for his first goal of the new league campaign.
A third followed shortly after with Kyle Turner’s corners causing more problems for the away side. Turner curled another ball into the goalmouth area and this time Brian Graham jumped highest, directing the ball into the net to make it 3-0 and take his personal tally for the season to seven.
Kevin Holt almost struck again in the 64th minute as he got on the end of another Turner corner. This one was a flatter delivery which was missed by a couple of defenders at the near post area. It landed right in front of Thistle’s number three but he couldn’t sort his feet in time to get a proper shot away and it ricocheted off him and over the bar.
The two sides traded half-chances in the latter stages until Brian Graham had the game’s final big opportunity. Connor Murray fed a reverse ball into Graham’s path and the striker tried to slot home across the goalkeeper, however, Hamilton made the save with his foot meaning the game finished 3-0 to the hosts.
Now, the Maryhill men look ahead to their SPFL Trust Trophy clash with Stranraer at Stair Park which has the unorthodox kick-off time of 1pm.

Partick Thistle made a victorious return to Firhill this afternoon as they beat Greenock Morton 3-0 in the cinch Championship. Goals from Kevin Holt, Zak Rudden and Brian Graham fired the Jags to the three points as they scored three goals for the third time in four matches and moved up to second place in the table. Thistle manager Ian McCall spoke to ptfc.co.uk following the final whistle:
“That was a really enjoyable performance and, if I’m being honest, we should have scored a few more. We played some great stuff early on and then throughout the second half and we just looked like such a threat going forward.
“We’ve got plenty of pace in the side and creativity as well but I was very impressed with the defenders too today. They were the bedrock that we worked from and the centre-halves in particular were fantastic.”
After a decent first half, Ian was delighted to see his team kick on and put the game to bed quickly after the interval.
“We had a few decent chances before half-time but Morton were still in the game and had a threat at that point. We came out for the second half though and turned it up a notch I thought. As I’ve said, we could have been a bit more ruthless and added two or three more to the score but I was really happy with the way we put the game to bed after half-time.”
Two of Thistle’s goals came from set plays and the manager lauded Kyle Turner’s delivery from corners which caused Morton no end of issues.
“Kyle had a solid game and he’s an important for us but I have to mention his set pieces. We scored twice from them but we could have a couple more at least and that’s a terrific asset to have. He set up two against Dunfermline and another two today so hopefully it just continues for the rest of the season.”
As well as another three goals to add to the season’s tally, Thistle also managed to record their second clean sheet of the season today and the manager took some time to expand on his earlier praise of the backline.
“The back four were terrific as I mentioned earlier. We looked very organised today and even when Morton had a 20 minute spell in the first half when they were on top, we stayed tight and compact and didn’t give them any easy opportunities.
“Tunji came in to the centre of defence and looked brilliant. He was strong, he showed his pace when he needed to, I felt he could have used the ball a little better here and there but all in all it was a great first start. Shea Gordon deserves a mention too. He did really well offering an option going forward and doing what he needed to at the back.”
The Jags are up in second spot as they head into a break from league action but McCall says the squad aren’t getting too far ahead of themselves despite the positive start to the Championship campaign.
“We’re up at the top just now but there’s a long way to go. It’s a great start for us and what it does do is it sets up a really interesting game in two weeks’ time up at Inverness. We’ve got to focus on the Stranraer game first and that’s what we’ll do this week but that’ll be a big game up there.
“When I look back a couple of years to when I came here from Ayr and then I look at where we are now, it’s a huge step forward and there’s a totally different atmosphere around the club. There were over 3,000 fans in today and hopefully they enjoyed that display because that’s the sort of football we’ll be aiming to play every week.”

Greenock Morton have an attempt at goal after Gozie Ugwu cut the ball back to the edge of the Thistle area but the follow up shot is easily saved by Jamie Sneddon.
Thistle break for a three on one attack but Jake Hastie can't steer the ball into Jack Hamilton's net.
Second half substitute Cammy Smith is next to try his luck at the Morton goal after some good link up play with Brian Graham but Smith sees his shot curl wide.
Today's Man of the Match is awarded to Kyle Turner.
A second sub for the Jags sees Ross Docherty come off for Jake Hastie.
Another fine afternoon for the Thistle number seven as he makes way for Connor Murray.
Zak Rudden leaves the field of play to a standing ovation and he is replaced by Cammy Smith.
Another Thistle corner nearly produces a goal. Kyle Turner again the taker lobs in a fine ball with Kevin Holt almost grabbing his second and Thistle's fourth of the afternoon.
The Jags create a few chances resulting in a corner. Kyle Turner produces an excellent ball into the area and Brian Graham rises highest to nod the ball into the net and put the Jags 3-0 up.
A fine ball in from Scott Tiffoney is controlled by Zak Rudden and with his second touch he lashes the ball home to give a Thistle a two goal lead early in the second half.

An early Kevin Holt header has given Thistle a 1-0 cushion at half-time but Morton have had chances of their own and with three Jags players booked inside the opening 45 minutes it could be a tense second half as Ian McCall and his players look to pick up another three points.

Another booking for Thistle inside the first 45 minutes. Brian Graham is booked for protesting the referee's decision to award a goal kick rather than a corner after his previous attempt at goal.
An excellent Thistle chance is created down the left and Richard Foster cuts a superb ball back to Brian Graham but he can't direct his shot on target .
Thistle have another good chance at goal through Zak Rudden. The Jags number 10 turns his man on the left hand side of the Morton penalty area before unleashing a shot towards Jack Hamilton's goal that whistles over the bar.
Another yellow card for Thistle. Kyle Turner clears out Lewis Strapp before the Morton full-back could break down the left-hand side and he is the second Jags player to find himself in the referee's book inside the first half.
Lewis Strapp is next to receive a yellow card. Stuart Bannigan broke free for Thistle and looked to send the Jags away on a counter attack but Strapp knocked him to the turf and finds himself in the book.
A yellow card comes the way of Shea Gordon as the referee deems his challenge a foul. The resulting free kick is blasted into the Thistle wall.
Another fine save from Jack Hamilton to deny Thistle a second! Tiffoney this time testing the former Dundee keeper.
The resulting corner from Rudden's strike is lofted into the area and Kevin Holt rises highest to give Thistle an early lead.
Zak Rudden strikes one from distance but Jack Hamilton is there to turn it away for Morton.
The jags have started the game well. A couple of sniffs around the Morton penalty area have come to nothing but Thistle are looking sharp early on.
