Partick Thistle can today confirm the signing of Jake Hastie on loan from Rangers, initially until January, subject to Scottish FA clearance.
The 22-year-old winger, capped twice by Scotland at under-21 level, joined his new team mates at training this morning as the Jags prepare for this weekend’s trip to Arbroath.
Thistle manager Ian McCall said: “Firstly, Rangers have been fantastic with us in allowing us to take Jake on loan. My job now is to give him the confidence to go out and show everyone the player he can be, the one who lit up the Scottish Premiership and scored goals at that level.
“Jake gives us another option of serious pace in the team from middle to front, along with Scott Tiffoney. I simply want Jake to go out and enjoy playing football with Partick Thistle – with one caveat, that he’ll need to work hard to get into this team.”
We’ll reveal the first pictures of Jake in red and yellow later today, along with his first thoughts as a Jag and an exclusive interview available to watch on JagZone.
