HOME AGAIN!
It was only last month but seems more than three weeks ago since we last played at Firhill, great to be back home.
Congratulations go to the Jags fans who travelled to the deep south to watch the cup game and the far north for the league match. Our thanks go to the travel Branches who transported the died in the wool band of Thistle supporters to both games and the drivers who got us back to Glasgow in good time to cheer on a win for the National Team at Hampden.
Many of you will be on UEFA’s mailing list but if not, this positive story during this time of climate change, COP26 and upcycling may come as a surprise:
Global Initiative ‘Lay’s RePlay’ Unveils Next Pitch
Lay’s unveiled another community football pitch as part of a global initiative this week, now in the United Kingdom following the inaugural launch in South Africa (watch on YouTube)
The five-a-side pitch, located in Leicester, was created using upcycled local brand Walkers crisp packets collected from consumers and offers a hub for people to come together and play the UK’s favourite sport.
Partnering with UEFA Foundation and streetfootballworld, the initiative ‘Lay’s RePlay’ brings joy to communities around the world and unites people through the power of play.
Five RePlay football pitches should be unveiled globally in 2021, bringing joy for 16,000-plus community members via the delivery of more than 3,600 hours of programming sessions.
