Hi pals!
What a scorcher of a weekend. Hope you took my advice from last week and, when the tapps were aff, you whacked the suntan lotion on.
Anyway, just wanted to tell you about the good work my pals, Adam Barton and Niall Keown have been up to this week. They went along with David Galt, one of the fab Community Trust coaches, to visit some of the young people down the road at East Park School.
The lads were brilliant and spent the afternoon teaching basic football skills including shooting, scoring and how to pass. It’s always great to work with the community and spend time with young people who have a passion for sports. It also gives us the chance to highlight that physical activity is for everyone. Even us mascots!
The boys were so chuffed when they got back to the club yesterday and they said the youngsters had a great laugh. Hopefully we can sort out a few more visits next season and bring the community even closer together.
