There are a number of reasons for Thistle's capitulation. There is more of a hint of controversy surrounding the first Dundee goal but it has been the continual failure to defend set pieces and ill-discipline that has cost Thistle three points from a winning position at half-time. 

We could play all night and there wouldn't be a hint of a Thistle goal. 

Into injury time. 

Ashcroft is the hungriest player for the ball as the corner comes over, but his header goes over the bar. 

Mitchel fumbles a shot round the post for a corner.

Lawless tries to find a way through but is crowded out. 

French finds McMullan but he can't keep his shot down. 

The referee doesn't seem to have much control on this game as Lawlor takes an age to take a free kick. Thistle look a beaten side though. 

Rudden gets away from McMillan, but Brownlie clears the cross. 

There is a chance as Thistle again fail to deal with a set play but French lashes the ball high over the bar. 

The roof has well and truly fallen in on Thistle. The ball is squared to Kerr at the edge of the box, and he shoots past Mitchell. 

No offside as Robinson collects the ball out wide. He is able to find French who drags his effort wide of goal. 

Milne clears but with everyone back defending and no out ball play quickly moves back towards the Thistle goal. 

Milne offers Thistle some hope as he collects the ball wide on the left but drills the ball across goal and out for a goal kick. 

Following a melee after the Dundee goal with pushing and shoving inside the 6 yard box Muirhead is sent off leaving Thistle with 10 men. 

It's poor, poor defending from Thistle and the ball is bundled home from close range. 

This game is anyone's now.

Time to take stock after the two Thistle changes. MacKenzie has slotted in at right back with Hodson moving to midfield to replace Bannigan. More of a direct swap with the Lawless for Mullen switch.

It's a good corner from Turner but the ball comes off the side of Brownlie's head and goes wide. 

A second change for Thistle. 

Mitchell gets just enough of a fist to a free kick delivered deep into the Thistle box with Turner completing the clearance. 

With Bannigan injured Thistle try and make a change before the restart but are prevented from doing so. A change is quickly made though once the game gets back underway. 

Controversial moment as Dundee get right back into the game. A cross is hung up towards Mitchell's back post. Robinson looks to barge Mitchell when knocking the ball home, but no free kick is given. 

Anderson plays a pass up to the feet of Rudden inside the box, but Muirhead is there to clear. 

A teasing cross from Milne drops behind for a goal kick as Thistle are seen as an attacking force for the first time since the restart. 

A free kick from just inside the Dundee half has Thistle under some pressure. It's been a bit of a nervy start to the second half for Thistle. 

Thistle are required to defend another free kick from a deeper position. McMullan's free kick goes out for a goal kick without any touch. 

Having made a triple change at the break Dundee immediately get a chance to put Thistle under some pressure with a free kick wide on the left that is well defended. 

Two goals from Harry Milne have Thistle in the driving seat at the interval. You suspect that the fist 15 minutes of the second half could be vital, and it will be important for Thistle not to allow Dundee a route back into this game. 

Into first half injury time. 

Turner's corner is cleared for a Thistle throw o the far side. 

Ashcroft climbs above everyone else to head clear the second of Turner's two corners. 

Hodson's cross is headed behind for Thistle's first corner. 

Thistle are caught sleeping as the corner is worked to McCowan in space at the corner of the box. The ball is knocked towards goal, but Mitchell is there to collect. 

It's two for Thistle and two for Harry Milne. 

Turner's cross is headed on and Milne is there at the back post to fire home. 

Thistle don't get enough distance on the ball when clearing a McMullan cross and French picks up the ball, but his delivery is poor and any opportunity bis lost. 

Dundee have responded well to going behind and McCowan's cross from the left is knocked goalwards but it's a routine save for Mitchell. 

Anxious moments inside the Thistle box before the ball is eventually cleared. 

The deadlock s broken and Thistle are in front. 

Milne steps away from French creating space and his shot from the left-hand corner of the Dundee box, perhaps with the aid of a deflection, finds the back of the net for his first Partick Thistle goal. 

McMullan shapes up to take the free kick but leaves it to McCowan. The Thistle wall though does its job. 

Dundee win a free kick outside the Thistle box in a threatening and central position. Ideal distance for a direct effort at goal. 

McMullan's flicked effort comes off one of his own players and goes out for a Thistle goal kick. 

Thistle are starting to build up a head of steam and Milne whips over a cross from the left. He can't pick out a Thistle player but the Thistle fans respond to a period of positive play from the home side. 

Turner whips the free kick in and although Dundee are less than convincing in doing so, they do get the ball clear. 

Mullen is barged off the ball and Thistle have a free kick near the corner of the Dundee box. 

Turner is caught late near the halfway line, the referee initially allows play to continue but with no Thistle advantage play is brought back for a Thistle free kick. 

It's Dundee that are on the front foot in the early stages here with the bulk of the game so far played inside the Thistle half. 

As expected, Thistle are lining up with 5 at the back and in the game's first piece of action one of those defenders, Brownlie, nods the ball back to Mitchell. 

Thistle get the game underway and will be shooting towards the John Lambie Stand in the first half. 

There is a distinct autumnal chill in the air, but the sun is shining as Thistle face Dundee at Firhill this afternoon. 

Neither side goes into this game in good form and Ian McCall has made three changes to his starting eleven following last week's disappointment at Raith Rovers. 

In come Darren Brownlie, with an anticipated return to five at the back, Kyle Turner and Danny Mullen who faces his former team. 

Steven Lawless, Cammy Smith and Tunji Akinola all start the afternoon on the bench. 

Kevin Holt, Ross Docherty, Scott Tiffoney and Brian Graham meantime all remain unavailable to McCall. 

Later tonight Stuart Bannigan will take his place in the Partick Thistle Hall of Fame but first he takes up his usual position in the Thistle midfield and it is Bannigan that wears the captain's armband this afternoon.
