It's a bitterly disappointing afternoon for Thistle as they go down to defeat against Queen's Park in a competitive fixture for the first time almost exactly 40 years.
Trailing 3-1 they pull a goal back with 4 minutes of the 90 remaining but despite there being just shy of 7 minutes of injury time played they fail to conjure up even a chance of an equaliser and salvaging a point.
Another Queen's player is down injured but there can only be seconds left.
Bannigan is penalised for a push in the middle of the park. There can't be much more to play.
The referee spots a foul and it is a Queen's Park free kick. You suspect that might well be that.
Dowds is fouled inside the Queen's half. Everyone goes forward for the free kick.
Into whatever additional time the referee decides to add.
Docherty's corner is cleared. Weston picks up the ball at the edge of the box but his effort is blocked and spins clear.
Break in play as Ferrie in the home goal is treated for a spot of cramp.
Docherty takes this corner. Graham knocks the ball on and Dowds forces home from close range.
Weston, who has looked eager since coming on, is fouled and Thistle will geta chance to get the ball in the box.
Bannigan's corner goes all the way to the opposite edge of the box. tiffoney picks the ball up but his shot is as high as it is wide.
Thomas is causing Thistle all manner of problems at the moment and he wins a free kick deep inside the Thistle half. It's hard to see any route back into this game with time running out.
Crowd: 1,357
Holt's header clears the bar with a foot or so to spare.
It's really poor for Thistle. It's a free header for Davidson from the corner and Murray is on hand to knock the ball home from close range
Dowds is quickly involved in the game but can't find Graham with his cut back.
Ferrie gets a strong hand to a low driven cross from Milne with no Thistle player close enough to gather the loose ball.
It's a mid second half water break. A chance for Thistle to regroup a bit after the huge blow of falling behind again so soon after equalising.
Thistle are level for just three minutes. Boateng threads a pass through for ex Jag Robson and he shoots across Mitchell and into the far corner of the net. Thistle have it all to do again.
Docherty pushes forward from midfield ad from outside the box sends in a shot that is never threatening the Queen's goal.
It's a lovely slick passing move from Thistle that presents McMillan with the chance and with just Ferrie to beat he confidently slips the ball past the Queen's keeper.
Fitzpatrick looks for a free kick as he tries to cut inside from his new berth on the right but he is never likely to get a free kick for that.
Turner's corner is cleared.
Thistle are getting set to make a double change.
There is a shooting chance for Thomson albeit some distance outside the Thistle box. he does shoot but sends his shot high over the crossbar.
McKinnon chases to get on the end of a forward pass but his shot is always on the rise and clears Ferrie's crossbar with a bit to spare.
Murray is able to get the better of Holt but when he rolls the ball across the face of the Thistle goal he can't quite find Williamson.
For the second week in a row Thistle find themselves trailing at the break.
The only goal on an entertaining first half came with the interval 9 minutes away when Thistle were undone by a well worked free kick that left Savoury with a clear look at the Thistle goal.
And that free kick nearly produces a Thistle equaliser. Turner picks out Holt but his header goes just over the crossbar.
Docherty is clattered and Thistle will have a chance to get the ball into the Queen's box.
It's a really well worked free kick. Thomas plays it short to the edge of the box where it is pushed into the path of Savoury who steers the ball past Mitchell.
Docherty clips the heels of Murray and Queen's will have a free kick in a dangerous position. A shade too far out for a direct effort on goal but threatening all the same.
Holt has to make an important headed clearance at the edge of the 6 yard box after Queen's threaten down the Thistle right hand side.
That's a great chance for Thistle as Lawless crosses for Graham but Graham can only direct his header straight at Ferrie.
It's a warm day and it is a water break for the two teams.
Thistle enjoy a break of the ball and Docherty has it on the left hand side of the Queen's box. He chips the ball to the back post where he finds McKinnon but his header clears the bar.
Ferrie makes a good stop from Turner with Fitzpatrick then flicking the ball over the bar as Thistle enjoy their best spell in the game thus far.
It's a much better one this time. Turner finds Graham at the back post and his header is cleared off the line by Boateng.
It's a poor one from Turner though.
Thistle have their first corner of the game.
Davidson has a bit too much room down the Thistle right and McMillan has to step in and clear.
Better from Thistle. Fitzpatrick is able to find McKinnon who in turn tries to cut the ball back for Graham but Queen's clear.
Holt makes a good recovering tackle as a simple ball over the top nearly has Williamson in behind the Thistle defence. That's not the first time that a ball over the top has troubled Thistle.
Fox gets his head to the corner but it is an easy save for Mitchell. It's the home side that are impressing at the moment with Thistle not seeing much of the ball in the opposition half.
Docherty heads the front post corner clear but it's still Queen's on the attack.
Mitchell gets a strong hand to the corner but Queens pick up the ball and win a free kick deep inside the Thistle half.
It's nearly an opener for Queens with Mitchell making a good stop to tip a Williamson shot over the bar.
Good play from Thistle. Lawless does well to get away from Boateng. He finds McMillan to his right who pushes a pass through to Turner but it is an easy save for Ferrie when Turner shoots.
Thistle work a short corner. Turner gets the ball back and this time his driven cross is cleared.
Both sides have made positive openings and Mitchell makes a comfortable stop from a well struck Robson effort.
At the second time of asking the home side get the game underway. Thistle will be shooting towards the away support in the first half.
It's a glorious afternoon for football as Thistle and Queen's Park meet in league action for the first time since 2000-2001 with this Glasgow derby taking place in the unlikely setting of Ochilview, Stenhousemuir as Queens wait to move into a refurbished Lesser Hampden.
The Thistle side tasked with getting three points today shows just one change in terms of personnel for that drew with Hamilton with Tunji Akinola coming in and Stuart Bannigan dropping to the bench.
That one change though will see some positional changes with Jack McMillan moving back to his more favoured right back role and Kyle Turner moving into the midfield.
New loan signing from Kilmarnock, Lee Hodson, starts the afternoon on the substitute bench.
