Following the announcement earlier this week by Three Black Cats (3BC) of the preferred recipient for the transfer of shares in the club, the PTFC Trust has begun outlining its plans on how that would work.
The Club has welcomed this positive development after a long period of uncertainty and is now beginning to work with the Trust. The initial proposals from the PTFC Trust formed the basis of 3BC’s decision but for the Club, this is the beginning of a process not the end.
It is for the PTFC Trust as an independent entity to articulate its preferred way of operating and in partnership with the Club Board to agree on the operating model that works best for the Club and Jags fans.
To be clear, that could include any number of options which are common in fan-owned clubs including having representatives from the Trust on the Club Board.
These are matters which will be discussed with the Trust in the coming weeks. While it would be wrong to provide a running commentary, the Club is committed to updating everyone as much as possible as the transfer progresses.
Meantime, we would urge everyone to get behind the team during this important period starting at Firhill tonight.
