This month’s Community Champion, presented by McDonalds Maryhill, as a lady who has deep roots within the Maryhill region and epitomises the true spirit of a Community Champion.
Amanda McLaughlin has stayed in Maryhill all her life, and got a job at Tesco when she was younger. She has since been made the Maryhill Tesco Community Champion.
Amanda does a lot of work in and for her community, hosting and attending walk and talk groups for the elderly, donating food parcels to food banks, hosting fundraising events and pop up stalls in Tesco and playing a massive part in organising the Maryhill Festival.
Amanda has a large social media outreach which she is always using to help the local community. Although preferring to get hands-on herself, where Amanda can’t help out personally, she is more than happy to put a call-out on social media and get the necessary support from those that follow everything she does.
Amanda supports all local activities, groups and events and does anything she can to help assist. She is a true asset to both Tesco and the community she serves.
We’ll be welcoming Amanda to Firhill tomorrow as our McDonalds Maryhill Community Champions.
