MISSES
0-0
It's two tired looking teams out there and the prospects of penalities are looming large.
Turner's corner drifts out of play without a touch from a player of either team.
Milne cuts the ball across from almost on the goal line but Mehmet collects the cross at his front post.
The Thistle fans are trying to spur their team on as we get deeper and deeper into extra-time.
Brownlie's header from Turner's corner goes well wide of goal.
An extra 15 minutes and still tied at 1-1. Just fifteen minutes away from penalities having to decide this tie. Can either side break the deadlock?
Hamilton misses a chance right underneath the Thistle crossbar on the stroke of half-time in extra-time.
Holt gets his head to Turner's corner. The ball hangs in the air in front of the Dunfermline goal before Mehmet claims it.
It's a short corner that Thistle never really get entirely clear and Dunfermline have a throw.
MacKenzie's shot from just outside the box bounces in front of Mehmet but he is able to complete a save.
Chalmers and Todd stand over the corner but nothing comes of it.
Before the corner is taken the referee finally spots that Bannigan is down injured.
Into injury time
Right now it is Dunfermline that look more likely to find a goal before we reach the end of the regulation 90 minutes.
Into the final 15 minutes. Remember this would go to extra-time if still level at 90 minutes.
Crowd: 3,218
There's two chances for Breen at the corner. The first his takes a wild swipe at and doesn't make contact. The second forces a low save from Sneddon.
It looks as if Fitzpatrick will go to the left to replace the substituted Tiffoney with Tiffoney's replacement occupying the central striker role and Mullen shifting to the right.
That's a chance for Dunfermline. Hamilton has a snap shot from the corner that is deflected wide. Dunfermline think it should be another corner but play restarts with a goal kick.
It's a great catch from Sneddon to claim the corner and he immediately throws the ball to Fitzpatrick who has the chance to break but his touch is poor.
Neither side seems to want to keep possession of the ball for more than a few seconds and it's all been a bit scrappy since the equaliser.
Just five minutes after the restart and Thistle are level.
Mullen pushes a shot pass into the path of Fitzpatrick at the edge of the box and his shot hits the inside of the post before crossing the line.
Turner finds McMillan on the right. It's a decent enough ball in from McMillan but nobody near enough to make it any better and Mehmet gathers.
Back underway. No changes in personnel for Thistle but there is going to be a big change in performance required.
The better side so far are leading at the break but their goal just before the break came in strange circumstances via the penalty spot.
A massive improvement needed from Thistle after the break to rescue this tie. There's been patches of good Thistle play and some chances, one of which Mullen really should have taken, but very little to enthuse over so far.
The corner is cleared. The ball does eventually find Fitzpatrick at the right hand corner of the box but his shot is a tame one and it is an easy save for Mehmet.
Edwards has far too much time and space to put over a cross from the left. Wighton flicks the ball goalwards but it is cleared. A second Dunfermline goal now and Thistle will be in all kinds of bother.
Benedictus isn't bothered about what the penalty was for and smashes the ball into the bottom corner. It's a lead Dunfermline probably deserve but is a controversial moment.
Referee Lambie spots something. Nobody is quite sure what but it is a penalty all the same.
What a chance for Thistle. Mehmet makes a mess of gathering the ball at the edge of the box and Mullen collects but can only find the side netting from a tight angle. He really should have done much better.
The corner is touched to Chalmers who whips over a cross and Breen should probably do better than head over Sneddon's crossbar.
It's a wonderful save from Sneddon to deny Wighton from no more than 6 yards out.
A quick ball forward finds Todd near the edge of the Thistle box. He's able to angle in a shot but it's a comfortable save for Sneddon.
It's getting better from Thistle and Bannigan has a shot that forces Mehmet into a save.
Tiffoney spins away in the centre of the park before finding Fitzpatrick wide on the right. Fitzpatrick delivers a low cross into the box that a defender nearly slices into his own net.
Mullen finds Fitzpatrick to his right. After a heavy touch Fitzpatrick works the ball onto his left foot and his shot from just outside the box is blocked by a defender.
Great chance for Dunfermline. The ball comes over from the left and MacDonald has a free header at the corner of the 6 yard box but can't hit target.
Tffoiney has been quiet so far but he's not far away from opening the scoring where after a dip of the shoulder and a spin away from a defender he sends a shot wide of Mehmet's right hand post. Better from Thistle.
It's not a great delivery from Turner. Milne tussles for the ball and goes to ground but any shouts for a penalty are massively optimistic.
Mullen is fouled and Turner will get another chance to test the Dunfermline defence from a set piece.
Turner's corner is cleared.
Thistle, or rather Fitzpatrick, burst into life. He collects Bannigan's pass, advances into the box where he shifts the ball to his left foot and is unfortunate to see Mehmet turn his shot round the post for a corner.
Chalmers' corner is headed clear but it's picked up by Todd at the edge of the Thistle box but he can do no better than send the ball wide of goal. It's the League One side that are on top at the moment as Thistle's slow start continues.
Thistle have a free kick and a chance to test the Dunfermline defence. Turner's free kick though is poor and goes out for a goal kick.
Edwards again poses questions for the Thistle defence this time with a cross from the left that Muirhead clears.
It's not been great from Thistle so far and a long throw from Edwards causes problems in the home defence before Holt steps in to clear. Thistle really haven't got going yet.
First hint of a chance for Thistle. Milne's pass finds Tiffoney but his cross is just behind Mullen.
Chalmers' corner is a poor one and as Turner tries to launch a Thistle counter attack he is fouled at the edge of the Thistle box.
Kyle Turner kicks the game off and Thistle will be shooting towards The John Lambie Stand in the first half.
With last week's league fixture at Dundee postponed a fortnight has passed since Thistle's last outing and their return today comes in the Scottish Cup as they hope to take a further step along the Road to Hampden.
For the second tie in a row it is League One opposition from Fife that stand in the way of a place in the next round.
Last time Kelty Hearts were seen off to the tune of 3-0 but League One league leaders Dunfermline are likely to prove a tough proposition to negotiate.
Thistle are without the suspended Ross Docherty for this one while Brian Graham, Steven Lawless also sit the afternoon out.
On a more positive note Harry Milne is back having missed the Morton game and Scott Tiffoney makes a welcome return to the starting eleven. Danny Mullen is the player to start up front in Brian Graham's absence.
