Thistle to welcome Ukrainian displaced families to Firhill tomorrow

As part of a joint effort between The Jags Foundation and Partick Thistle Football Club, we are pleased to announce that 40 adult tickets have been made available to Glasgow’s Ukrainian community to attend tomorrow’s cinch Championship match against Cove Rangers. As part of the arrangement, the children in the group will also be granted free admission, with some extra surprises lined up on matchday for the group.

The Club was approached by The Jags Foundation after Kirk minister, and big Jags fan, Adam Dillon wanted to bring a bit of Firhill magic to one of their weekends, and maybe even secure a few converts to the Thistle cause. After a challenging year for Glasgow’s Ukrainian diaspora, an afternoon at Firhill, where our guests will have transport provided to and from the game courtesy of Cosgrove Care and Jewish Care Scotland, will help to provide some respite during a difficult time.

We hope that these new Glaswegians have a cracking day out at Firhill and that they help cheer us on to a vital three points.
