This Sunday 30th April, PTWFC take on Glasgow City at Petershill Park for a 12:10 kick off.
Thistle come off the back of a 3-1 defeat against Hibs in a tough match that ended in defeat in the capital. The girls are looking to put the result in the past and get prepared to take on the current table toppers.
A result here for Brian Graham’s side would be massive as we face a Glasgow City side that has lost their last three in all competitions. This is a huge opportunity for the girls to add to the misery having suffered a heavy defeat during the last meeting at Petershill Park between the sides.

💻️Highlights and reaction post match
Glasgow City have had a great season, picking up 68 points so far in the league from a possible 78.
Sitting in 1st position, Leanne Ross’ side will be looking to secure all three points and get back into form. Having suffered recent losses to Celtic and Rangers having previously been undefeated, they’ll look to grab the victory as their title rivals close in on them.
The last meeting between the squads ended in a 8-1 defeat at Petershill Park in a difficult game for the Jags. It is worth noting however that current joint top scorer Rachel Donaldson added another to her tally in that game with another goal of the season contender as she struck the ball from distance and into the back of the Glasgow City net
Thistle started the tie against Hibs in fantastic fashion dominating from the start and grabbing the lead through Cara Henderson, who scored her 9th goal of the season making her tied with Rachel Donaldson as top scorer as things stand. With Henderson hitting the bar with a free kick from distance as well, Thistle looked to be on the right track and bring all three points back to Glasgow with them.
However, less than a minute into the second half Hibs would level it up before adding a further two goals to leave the final score 3-1 to the Hibees. Brian Graham spoke about this in his post-match reaction talking about how it was sloppy errors that caused the Jags to drop the points. While the result is a negative, if the girls perform like they did in the first half, then there is a bright future ahead for the Jags.
Strong followings from the Red and Yellow Army so far this season have really helped our girls. Your support has played a massive part in this historic season so it would be great to have as many fans as possible along to Petershill Park for this upcoming Glasgow Derby in the SWPL.
Cheryl McCulloch remains out for this clash as she continues her recovery from her ACL injury. Rebecca McGowan returned with a brief cameo off the bench against Hibs and has been working to make progress as she recovers from her injury. Clare Docherty returns from her two-match suspension and will be looking to return to the starting eleven this weekend.
Our management squad now have the task of selecting the strongest squad available as we approach this match in the Park’s Motor Group SWPL
