Captain Demi Falconer re-signs

It is with great pleasure that Partick Thistle Women’s FC can announce that Club Captain Demi Falconer has agreed to continue as a Thistle player in the 2023-2024 season which will be her fifth season as a Partick Thistle player.

Across the last four seasons Demi has displayed leadership qualities aplenty and has led by example from the heart of the Thistle defence.

The former Stirling University player has rarely missed a game as a Thistle player, only a last day suspension prevented her from completing an appearance full house this season after having played every minute of every game before that. and  Demi once completed 100 consecutive appearances across spells with Stirling University and Thistle without missing a single minute of action.

In total Demi has now made a total of 87 appearances, making her the Club’s leading SWPL appearance maker, scoring 3 goals. The last two of which both came at the same venue against Hearts over a year apart.

Commented Thistle manager Brian Graham;

“I firmly believe Demi is one of the best defenders in this league and her ability is often overlooked so i’m happy to have her back in Red and Yellow next season.

“She is our captain and leads by example every single week, the girls all respect her and the way she trains and plays with such a consistancy makes her a fantastic role model for everyone.

“She’s had what is probably her best season for the club and I think she went to another level in the top six matches at the end of the season so i’m really excited to watch her take that into next season”

Captain Demi Falconer said

“I love leading this team and i’m proud to be their captain. We have such a togetherness here and it’s really special.

“The club have had such a great season and it’s given us all a real desire to come back next season and do it all over again.

“We might not have got the points we wanted in the top six we all learned so much and I think that will stand us in good stead next season and i’m excited to see where we can go from here”
