It is with great pleasure that Partick Thistle Women’s FC can confirm that defender Rosie Slater has agreed to extend her Thistle career into the 2023-2024 season.
Rosie initially joined Thistle on loan from Rangers on the eve of the 2021-2022 season and very quickly established herself as a key component of the Thistle defence clocking up 31 appearances in her debut season at the Club.
By the time the 2022-2023 season started Rosie was a fully fledged Partick Thistle player and much like her first season she was an important cog in the Thistle defence as the Club secured a top six finish.
As Rosie approaches her third season as a Partick Thistle player her appearance total stands at 63.
Manager Brian Graham said:
“It’s hard to believe Rosie has only just turned 19. She’s played a lot of top level football for someone so young and plays with such a maturity, both on the pitch and in the dressing room.
“She is still learning and will only continue to get better. She is a player who can play a number of positions across the backline and I know I can trust her to go and do a job no matter where I ask her to play and that is great to have as a manager.”
Rosie Slater said:
”I’ve loved my time at the club so far. It’s been such a great place to be over the last two years so it was really easy to sign on again for next season
“I’m looking forward to getting back in for pre-season and working hard with the rest of the girls to try and build on what we achieved last season”
