Loney collects a poor clearance and sends over a cross from the left that Walton claims. 

That should seal the win for United as Watt tucks home from 8 yards out. 

The ball is threaded through the heart of the Thistle defence and Fotheringham fires past the advancing Stewart. 

Stewart goes to his left and saves Moult's penalty. The loudest cheer might come from Brian Graham who is edging out Moult in the race to be the division's leading scorer. 

Stewart is furious but he is adjudged to have caught Moult. 

Sibbald again. This time his shot fizzes just wide of goal with Stewart looking beaten. 

Thistle nearly gift United and Sibbald a goal but Sibbald somehow fails to find the net. 

The corner goes deep where Ngwenya heads clear. 

The first 5 minutes of the second half are following a similar pattern to that of the first half. 

Back underway. No changes from Thistle at the interval. 

All square at the end of a first half in which it's been mostly backs to the wall stuff from Thistle. 

Middleton sends a shot wide of Stewart's left hand post.

Stewart makes an excellent save with his body to keep out a Docherty effort.

We're going to have a delay as equalising against what isn't far removed from a Thistle reserve team merits some pyro on the pitch apparently. 

You can't say it hasn't been coming, Thistle fail to clear their lines and Sibbald is there to lash the ball home. 

More excellent defending in the box from captain for the night Jack McMillan. 

The tempo of the game has dropped a bit. United still dominating but Thistle seeing just a shade more of the ball. Still careless in possession at times. 

McMillan makes great block inside the box as United try and catch Thistle on the break. 

Moult's header from Middleton's corner drops wide of the Thistle goal. 

Middleton's cross is hacked clear by Neilson. 

Thistle are exposed at the back but Watt's shot is blocked by Neilson. 

Stewart is caught late by Middleton. After a few seconds he's back on his feet and can continue without the need of further treatment. 

The United corner goes across the face of the Thistle goal without anyone able to get a touch to the ball. Thistle will need to defend corners better than they have been so far tonight. 

Moult takes the free kick. He gets it over the wall but also well over Stewart's crossbar. 

United win a free kick about 25 yards from the Thistle goal, maybe a little closer, left of centre. 

It's Thistle that take the lead. Diack nearly gets on the end of a ball inside the box but Walton gets there first. The United keeper though can't keep hold of the ball and Stanway is there to apply the finish. 

Moult tries a shot from outside the box. It doesn't threaten the Thistle goal but it has been largely one-way traffic so far. 

The corner is right on top of Stewart and it's Ngwenya that has to stoop and head clear. 

Some shouts for a United penalty as Docherty goes to ground inside the box. Game being played with a good tempo at present with the home side on the front foot. 

A few minutes late United finally get the game underway. 

With more than half an eye on Tuesday's play-off quarter-final 1st leg, Kris Doolan has made six changes to his side for the final league game of the season. 

In come Ross Stewart, Dan O'Reilly, Blair Alston, Ben Stanway, Zander MacKenzie and Ricco Diack. 

A strong bench includes David Mitchell, Harry Milne, Brian Graham, Scott Robinson, Luke McBeth and Aidan Fitzpatrick.
