It's a battle, it's not pretty but it is three points for Thistle. Blair Alston's first Thistle goal securing the points.
A tired, tired challenge from Fitzpatrick.
Lawless pushes through a pass for Alston but he can't find a way past MacDonald whose save keeps Morton in it.
With Morton players waiting for any slip, Sneddon claims a cross inside his 6 yard box.
Into added time. This could be quite lengthy.
Gillespie's long range shot is well struck but straight at Sneddon who saves and is able to hold the shot.
An Alston shot is saved by MacDonald. Adeloye is down injured again.
Man of the Match: Aidan Fitzpatrick
Before we can restart Adeloye needs to receive treatment. It doesn't look as if he can continue.
Thistle back in front. Fitzpatrick crosses from the left and Alston flicks the ball home for his first Partick Thistle goal.
This has been an ugly game of football. Morton's approach is proving successful.
Play continuing even though Stanway is down injured and in some apparent pain.
Brian Graham is shown a red card after being substituted.
Boyd's free kick hits the Thistle wall. Thistle try and counter attack but it's all a bit too slow. Frustration mounting.
Bannigan is angry as he is penalised for fouling McGrattan. Morton have a free kick just about in range of the Thistle goal.
Crowd: 3,732
Alston takes the free kick but it hits the top of the wall.
Fitzpatrick is fouled near the edge of the Morton box.
Some quick foot work from Williams sees him chip a pass through for Graham but the Thistle captain had strayed offside.
French sends a shot high and wide of the Thistle goal.
Thistle change at the break.
It's level at the break as Thistle have failed to build upon an excellent start despite being the better side for much of the first half.
Angry reaction from Morton after Fitzpatrick takes a tumble inside the box.
The Lawless corner is cleared. Williams is left injured in the box but looks okay to continue without treatment.
Fitzpatrick pushes as pass to McMillan to his right and inside the box. McMillan's shot though goes over the bar.
Chance for Morton but French can't keep his header at the back post down.
Gillespie makes a tidy job of converting the penalty.
Thistle struggle to get the ball clear and when a challenge comes in the referee points to the spot.
Fitzpatrick takes the free kick. His delivery isn't great but Lawless picks up the ball at the edge of the box but drags his shot wide of goal.
Fitzpatrick has his heels clipped and Thistle have a free kick wide on the left.
Well that looked like a Thistle corner after McMillan and Lawless linked up, but play restarts with a goal kick.
The free kick is reasonably defended but Morton remain on the attack.
Williams' foul is going to give Morton a chance to get the ball into the Thistle box.
An early change. Milne had been in the wars early on and clearly hasn't recovered. McMillan on at right back with Williams shifting to left back.
MacDonald pushes away a McInroy shot. Graham picks up the loose ball but sends his shot over the bar.
Thistle are getting ready to make a substitution.
Graham collects McInroy's pass wide on the right. He fizzes over a low cross that evades Bannigan at the back post.
It's a cleverly worked corner from Morton and the ball is worked to Boyd who has room for a shot. His shot clears Sneddon's bar but not by much.
It's a good corner from Lawless aimed into the 6 yard box but it is well defended by Morton.
What a start! It's an absolute gem of a pass from Lawless that finds McInroy. He steadies himself before knocking a low shot past MacDonald and into the back of the net.
Thistle get the game underway and will be shooting towards the John Lambie Stand in the first half.
It's a beautiful autumn afternoon and kick-off in today's cinch Championship fixture between Thistle and Morton is a little over 10 minutes away.
Thistle's starting eleven is unchanged from the side that defeated Arbroath last weekend.
The only changes are on the bench where Jack McMillan and Tomi Adeloye are added to the list of substitutes.
