Thistle collect all three points to start 2024 on a positive not.
In truth the winning margin should have been much greater than it was.
Muirhead is caught by high arm. That could easily have been red.
Adeloye has the ball in the net but the flag is up for offside.
Adeloye carelessly strays offside giving Queen's the chance to get the ball up the field.
Thistle keeping the ball down by the Queen's corner flag.
Man of the Match: Lewis Neilson.
Into added time. Could be quite a bit of this. Expect 4 -5 minutes.
Paton's free kick finds the net and we will have a nervy end to a game that should be comfortably won by now.
Muirhead fouls McCormick at the edge of box and Queen's have a free kick in a threatening position. Nice distance out for an effort on goal.
McInroy takes the corner and it finds the head of an unmarked Lewis Neilson and he heads home for his first Partick Thistle goal.
A McInroy shot from distance takes a deflection and Thistle have a corner. There's no haste to take it.
Ferrie sticks out a leg to save an Alston shot.
It's very scrappy at the moment.
McInroy works the ball to Adeloye to his right. Adeloye returns the pass and McInroy's low shot isn't too far wide of Ferrie's left hand post.
The referee stops play for McInroy to receive some treatment.
The only partially cleared and Thomson lifts the ball back towards goal. Adeloye ducks and the ball drops wide of goal. A bit too close for comfort.
Not for the very time some neat defending from Neilson halts a Queen's attack.
Crowd: 3,212.
There looks to be some more activity on the Thistle bench.
Ferrie just beats Lawless to Neilson's lovely pass over the top of the Queen's defence.
The atmosphere is very flat inside Firhill at the moment.
McInroy and Fitzpatrick nearly link up to create an opening but te ball runds away from McInroy and goes out for a goal kick.
Referee Kirkland eventually stops play to allow Lawless to receive treatment.
Neilson makes an important block inside the Thistle box as Thistle find themselves out numbered. Bannigan steps in to complete the clearance.
Milne finds Fitzpatrick. He crosses for Graham who shoots wide. Fitzpatrick is on fire at the moment.
Neilson blocks Longridge's shot.
Lawless this time and Milne again tries to get on the end of a corner but doesn't manage it this time.
The corner is worked to the edge of the box where Stanway's powerful shot takes a deflection on its way past.
Thistle are back in front. McMillan's deep cross goes to the back post where Fitzpatrick smashes it home from a tight angle.
The corner is cleared.
Back underway. No changes from either side at the break.
Thistle have dominated the opening half, should probably be leading comfortably, but the concession of a cheap, cheap goal sees them level at the break.
Into added time at the end of the first half.
Graham dummies a Lawless cross and Fitzpatrick stabs wide. Thistle look in vain for a corner.
Lawless is booked for protesting too loudly.
Thistle look for an advantage after a foul but play is brought back. The booking that follows is of no consolation.
Good chance for Queens. Spong's well weighted pass finds Turner inside the box but he shoots wide.
McInroy nudges the ball to Fitzpatrick to his left. Fitzpatrick powers into the box but his cut back looking for McInroy is cleared.
Fitzpatrick and Graham link up well. Graham crosses looking for where he'd normally be but Ferrie claims.
From a position of control just a few minutes ago Thistle are all over the place at the moment.
Longridge gets the free kick round the wall but it is straight at Sneddon who saves.
Nearly more calamity for Thistle as a simple ball is misjudge by Neilson. He commits a foul as he tries to get back into position. Queen's protest it should be red and they look to have a case.
It's a disaster for Sneddon. He spills the ball at the feet of Paton who simply rolls the ball into the net. There is a fleeting hope that play has been stopped for a foul but there is no reprieve.
Fitzpatrick is building up a head of steam, albeit inside his own half, when the referee brings back play for an earlier infringement and a Thistle free kick. Frustration all round.
That goal has been coming. Fitzpatrick's corner finds Milne and he thunders a header past Ferrie and into the net.
Lawless brushes past two challenges and his shot just fails to curl and find the back of the net.
Paton fouls Graham is the tussle for the ball following Turner's free kick.
Fitzpatrick is adjudged to have tugged the jersey of Thomas while tracking back and Queen's have a free kick deep inside the Thistle half.
Thistle counter from the Queen's corner. Ferrie can't hold Fitzpatrick's cross and Stanway picks the ball up, he spins and tries to float the ball into the net but it drifts away from goal.
Graham can't get the required touch to McInroy's cross as Thistle press for the opener.
Graham's half block shot nearly falls for Fitzpatrick in front of goal.
Lawless and Fitzpatrick work a short corner. When the ball does over, Fitzpatrick's low ball finds Muirhead who shoots wide.
McInroy enjoys the break of the ball after being tackled and is able to find Graham to his left. Graham shoots, his effort isn't really threatening the goal but is touched wide and Thistle have the game's first corner.
Lawless and McMillan link up well but McMillan's cross is blocked.
Neilson's chipped pass finds Graham in space inside the box. He's able to lift the ball over Ferrie but finds the angle too tight to find the net.
Milne plays a neat pass looking for Graham but Ferrie is able to get there first and clears.
Thomas with another shot from outside the box. Sneddon saves but needs two attempts to safely grab hold of the ball.
Thistle nearly concede inside the opening minute again but Sneddon is able to push away Thomas' drilled shot from outside the box.
Queen's Park kick-off. Thistle shooting towards The John Lambie stand in the first half.
Kris Doolan's first starting eleven of 2024 shows no changes from his last starting eleven of 2023.
The only change is on the bench where new signing Luke McBeth is added to the list of substitutes.
