Thistle give it their all but the quality in and around goal isn't there. Harry Milne nearly snatches what wouldn't have been an undeserved equaliser when his header comes off the post deep in injury time.
Milne's header comes off the post.
Milne is fouled by Smith who promptly kicks the ball away.
Minimum of 5 minutes additional time to be played.
Fitzpatrick has a chance to shoot but elects to try and find McMillan and his pass ends up going out for a goal kick.
Graham's header from a Lawless cross clips the crossbar and goes over. Was that the chance?
Turner catches Stanway with a late challenge but there is no card shown.
The free kick is delivered into a good area but it fails to produce a chance.
Thistle free kick midway inside the Raith half. Everyone bar Bannigan and Mitchell forward.
McBeth has dropped back to central defence.
There is application aplenty from Thistle. It just lacks some inspiration at the moment.
McBeth sends a wild shot over the Raith crossbar.
Fitzpatrick crosses. His cross is too high and although Diack gets his head to it he can't get his head over the ball and as a result his header doesn't threaten the Raith goal.
Best chance of the half for Thistle so far but Diack's shot from a Graham pass is too high.
A set piece does like Thistle's best chance of a goal right now.
Crowd: 2,319
A snapshot from Stanton doesn't threaten the Thistle goal.
The ball just won't drop to a Thistle player inside the box. Play now stopped for a Raith player to receive treatment. He's back on his feet pretty quickly though once play is stopped.
Robinson's shot is deflected over and it's another Thistle corner.
Neilson is way too tight on Hamilton and Raith have a free kick just inside the Thistle half.
A Connolly shot isn't too far away as Raith continue to have control of the game.
Turner's corner is poor and Thistle hook the ball forward but there is nobody up front and the ball just comes back towards them.
It's a lecture for Dabrowski over the length of time it is taking him to take goal kicks.
Mitchell is okay to continue and we're back underway once more.
Mitchell miskicks straight to Hamilton but recovers to save at his feet. He looks to have hurt himself in the process though.
Back underway. No changes from either side at the break. Did wonder if McBeth with that yellow card to his name and potentially one more foul away from a red might have been switched at the break.
Thistle have the better of the first half, force Dabrowski into a number of saves, but trail at the break.
It's the old problem of defensive frailties again as Murray heads home a Turner free kick almost with the entire freedom of the Thistle penalty box.
Dabrowski makes a really good catch under pressure from a McMillan cross.
Turner's corner comes off Stanton and thankfully straight to Mitchell.
Another Raith free kick in a position not dissimilar to that that led to the opening goal.
It's a second foul from McBeth in the space of a few minutes. That can't have been far away from a second yellow card.
They more than test the Thistle defence, they open the scoring. Turner's free kick finds Murray in far, far too much space and his header beats Mitchell.
Raith win a free kick inside the Thistle half. It's in from the right touchline and will gave Raith a chance to test the Thistle defence.
Graham takes the free kick and it needs a good stop from Dabrowski to stop it finding the bottom left hand corner.
Thistle have a free kick outside the Raith box after a foul on McInroy. It's in a central position and a good range for a shot at goal.
A Graham shot is blocked after a good Thistle move. It's starting to warm up nicely.
It's a sublime turn from Robinson that gets his away from Murray but his shot is poor and he drags the ball wide of Dabrowski's right hand post.
Another save from Dabrowski low to his right. This one is far less comfortable as Robinson fires Graham's knock down towards goal.
McInroy has a shot from the edge of the box. It's on target but it is a comfortable save for Dabrowski low to his right.
Fitzpatrick's corner is deep, too deep. McBeth gets his head to it but it goes out for a throw on the opposite side. Signs though of the game starting to come alive.
Nearly an opener from Raith from absolutely nowhere. Mitchell seems to misjudge the flight of the ball and Hamilton is able to nod it over Mitchell's head. Mitchell though is able to run back and collect before it goes into the net.
First event of any note. Lawless and Fitzpatrick link up really well but Fitzpatrick lashes his shot wide of goal.
Uneventful would be a fair description of the opening 10 minutes.
No real surprise to see Milne back at left back and Neilson back into the heart of defence.
Thistle kick-off and will shoot towards the John Lambie Stand in the first half.
There is just one change to the Thistle starting eleven to face Raith Rovers tonight.
In comes Kerr McInroy while Kieran Ngwenya.
It's a bit quiet inside the crowd at the moment but it will start to liven up soon.
