💻️Highlights and reaction post match
Rangers have performed well in their opening four matches this season, picking up 10 out of a possible 12 points thus far.
Having defeated PTWFC in every match they played last season under previous manager Malky Thomson, new boss Jo Potter will hope to continue that form into this upcoming season.
She’ll look to take the positives from last week’s draw against reigning champions Glasgow City as face an in form Thistle side.
Thistle performed very well last weekend as they cruised towards a 5-0 victory against Montrose at Petershill Park.
Megan Robb scoring her first goal for the club in her first start within the first minute of the match was a great start to her career in a Jags shirt having made the step up to the SWPL this season.
Lucy Sinclair also fired home her first goal in Red and Yellow against Montrose while Imogen Longcake made it two in two having tucked one in against Hamilton Accies a game prior. Cara Henderson also added a brace as she currently tops the league scoring charts with 6 so far this season.
Brian Graham again spoke about how this is just the start of things to come as he looks to better last season’s impressive top six finish.
Strong Followings from the Red and Yellow army have helped our girls massively this season
Following her electric start to the season, Cara Henderson has been nominated for the Park’s Motor Group SWPL Player of the Month.
Our number 9 is only the second thistle player to receive a nomination following her attacking partner Rachel Donaldson’s nomination in November 2022.
Having scored six goals in four games so far this season, including an opening day hat trick against Dundee United and her two against Montrose, Henderson currently sits top of the goal scoring charts tied with Celtic towards Kit Loferski and Amy Gallagher.
Due to the terms of their loan agreements, Megan Cunningham and Jenna Ferguson are ineligible for this upcoming tie against their parent club.
Linzi Taylor made her return against Montrose featuring for the last ten minutes while Clare Docherty and Rachel Donaldson are making good progress in their returns from injury therefore could be available for selection this weekend.
Long term absentee Cheryl McCulloch will remain out however.
With a number of extra options, It will be up to manager Brian Graham and the rest of the management team to decide the strongest eleven for this game.
