This Sunday 11th February, PTWFC take on Rangers in SWPL match at Petershill Park in a 13:00 kickoff.
Having won away to Spartans midweek with a return to league action, we look to keep this winning streak up having made it six in a row as we face a very dangerous Rangers side.

💻️Highlights and reaction post match
Rangers have had a fantastic season sitting undefeated at the top of the table with 55 points, 6 clear of Celtic as their nearest rivals. Jo Potter’s side grabbed a 1-0 victory against a tough Hearts side during the midweek fixtures as they look to remain undefeated.
Jo Potter made her move north of the border over the summer and has had the blue side of Glasgow play some attractive football, getting them to the Sky Sports League Cup final, where Brian Graham’s Thistle side await. Her team include a number of standout players such as Brogan Hay, sister of our very own Kodie Hay, Rio Hardy, the league’s 2nd top scorer with 18 goals and Kirsty MacLean who pulls the strings for them in midfield.
Our previous league encounter saw Rangers gain victory at Broadwood Stadium as they came away 1-0 winners in a feisty encounter. Brian Graham will be using this as encouragement for his side as they look to give the league leaders their first defeat of the 2023/24 season.
A trip to Ainslie Park for some midweek league action awaited the Jags and they were full of confidence having won their past five on the bounce in all competitions. Always a difficult away venue, the girls knew they’d need to battle for the victory.
Despite being lower in the table than Thistle, Spartans seemed up for the challenge and worked hard to put the pressure on giving a nervy start for Thistle. Brian Graham touched on this in his post match interview stating how he felt Spartans’ league placement was a bit harsh given the calibre of players they possess. The fight and desire to prove a point from the Spartans saw the first half end goalless.
The Jags would continue to push on and in the second half new signing Carla Boyce grabbed her second goal in red and yellow in as many games as she headed the ball into the back of the net. It would prove to be the only goal of the game taking all three points back to Glasgow in a hard fought victory for Partick Thistle. This momentum can only be a positive as we approach a difficult match against our future cup final opponents for this league match back at Petershill Park.
Strong Followings from the Red and Yellow army have helped our girls in recent times and we’d love to see as many of you make Petershill a fortress as we welcome Rangers across the city.
Nearly a full squad available for Brian Graham this weekend with the only absentees being Jenna Ferguson and Megan Cunningham who miss out due to the terms of their loan agreements from Rangers.
With that being said, it will be up to the gaffer and the rest of the management team to field their best possible side heading into this fixture with a chance to prove ourselves against one of the best in the country.
