Wasiri Williams agreed a two-year deal with Partick Thistle on 26th June 2023.
Joining from Swansea City, Wasiri had spent the previous 12 months with the Welsh club becoming a regular in the Swans’ under 21 team, skippering the side on multiple occasions and scoring three goals. Wasiri spent four years in the English non-league prior to his move to Swansea.
In February 2023, he made the loan switch to Dundalk in the League of Ireland, featuring 12 times during his short time in the Republic of Ireland.
Williams’ first appearance as a Jag came at Peterhead in a Viaplay Cup group stage game which finished 1-1; the defender scored a penalty in a lengthy penalty shootout which Thistle won to claim the bonus point.
He made 21 total appearances in his first campaign at Firhill, a number which was limited by a season-ending ankle injury sustained in March against Dundee United.
