Partick Thistle Women’s FC are pleased to announce the signing of Jenna Ferguson on loan from Rangers.
The 17-year-old defender is a product of the Rangers youth academy and comes to Petershill Park to build on the taste of first team football she’s had with her parent club.
Jenna made her Rangers debut earlier this year as she came on as a late substitute in a 4-1 win over Aberdeen at the beginning of February. She went on to make two more appearances off the bench before the season’s end and started the new campaign by featuring in Rangers’ 11-0 City of Glasgow Cup triumph over Queen’s Park.
PTWFC manager Brian Graham said: “Jenna is a great young player with lots of potential and we’re really happy to bring her in. She’s very highly rated at Rangers and will join us looking to gain some experience.
“Being so young, she’ll have a lot of learning to do but we want to give her the platform to go and learn while contributing to what we’re doing here at the club.”
Upon signing, Jenna Ferguson said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for me. Watching from the outside, it’s obvious that Thistle are an ambitious club and it seems like a great environment to play football in so that should be ideal for me as a young player.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know my teammates and working with the management staff.
It’ll take a lot of hard work to get into the team but I’m ready for the challenge.”
