For Sunday’s ScottishPower WPL fixture against Montrose, we welcomed a special charity partner for the match – breast cancer charity, CoppaFeel!
This was spearheaded by local fundraiser Jen McCall, who is participating in a five-day CoppaFeel! trek of Mont Blanc next month to raise funds and awareness for the charity.
On Sunday at Petershill, Jen and friends held a bucket collection before kick-off and breast cancer information was handed out to spectators while proceeds from the 50/50 draw were donated to the cause.
Jen has today been in touch with PTWFC with the following message: “I’d like to give an enormous thanks to everyone who supported CoppaFeel! at Petershill on Sunday, it really was quite overwhelming. Every single person was so supportive not only in donating at the door but also in being keen to find out more about the charity and the important messages behind it. The result topped the day off perfectly.
“I’m so proud to say we raised more than £300 on the day which takes my fundraising total close to the £5,000 mark, and that’s before I even set off next week. Once again a huge, huge thanks to the PTWFC board, management team, staff, volunteers and supporters who supported CoppaFeel! on Sunday and I look forward to returning to Petershill after the trek is completed.”
