With no further ado, the four candidates for the first ever Adapt Commercial Property PTWFC Player of the Month award are:
Demi Falconer
August was a typically consistent month for Demi Falconer who led the team to three wins from the first four games with clean sheets in each of those victories. Providing calmness at the back, Demi’s top flight experience has helped the young players around her flourish while she still maintains her high level of performance.
Jenna Ferguson
Alongside Demi in defence for the majority of the month has been Jenna Ferguson who has been able to make an impressive impact since joining on loan from Rangers. The 17-year-old was brought on after the team went down to 10 players against Dundee United on the opening day and showed great maturity as she helped the team to a clean sheet and a win. Starting the three games since, Jenna looks set for a breakthrough season as a Jag.
Cara Henderson
The numbers speak for themselves when it comes to Cara Henderson in August. Still getting used to a new role up front, Cara has bagged six goals in the first four games of the season including a hat-trick on opening day. As such, she sits top of the SWPL scoring charts heading into September which is testament to the killer instinct she has shown in front of goal. She has also been nominated for the league wide Player of the Month award for August.
Emma Lawton
Settling back into life as a Thistle player has been no problem at all for Emma Lawton with the right-back impressing at both ends of the pitch over the course of August. She’s played her part in the team’s three clean sheets but perhaps more notably has been a consistent threat down the right-hand side for Brian Graham’s team. A goal and three assists represent a very respectable return for a defender over four matches.
