💻️Highlights and reaction post match
Motherwell have had a decent season so far sitting 8th in the SWPL1 with 16 points in as many games. Having ended their winter break on a win, manager Paul Brownlie will look to use this and build momentum heading into this fixture.
The Jags gained victory in convincing fashion in November as the girls won 4-2 away at K-Park in a game that featured several goal of the season contenders.
December proved to be a difficult month for the Jags as two very tough fixtures against full time opposition ensued. Having suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to Hearts, a grueling 6-0 defeat against last season’s champions Glasgow City took place. A tough month to take,
The girls are looking to put it in the past and move onto this fresh year with a clean slate.
Strong Followings from the Red and Yellow army gave the girls a 2023 to remember. We would love to see as many of you as possible as we return to action for this game against Motherwell at our home..
As the January transfer window opens, some fresh faces have arrived at Petershill Park. Santa left the Jags a present under the Christmas tree as Rebecca McAllister arrived following a spell at Hearts.
An ambitious signing for the Jags, McAllister brings a wealth of experience having
already been capped for Scotland and playing European football during her time at Celtic. The creative midfielder will be a boost to the squad as we push to get top 6 once again.
Ava Easdon returns to the squad having been ineligible against her parent club Glasgow City in our previous fixture. This coincides with the announcement that the young keeper will remain on loan for the remainder of the season.
Rachel Wright returns to contention following her return from her loan spell at Hamilton while Megan Robb and Vhairi Munro both head out on their respecive loans.
New signing Rebecca McAllister is hoping to be ready to slot into midfield while captain Demi Falconer’s suspension has been served so she will look to captain the squad again.
The winter break has hopefully allowed some of the knocks and niggles to heal up as we approach a match against a fierce rival in Motherwell.
With all that being said, it will be up to Brian Graham and the rest of the management team to field the best possible side heading into this fixture.
