Well we thought tonight would decide nothing, and that's how it has turned out. 

It's back to the Wyre Stadium at Firhill on Friday for what is sure to be a nerve tingling 90 (and more?) minutes. 

Stanway looks to be fouled within range of the Airdrie goal but there is no free kick. Only seconds remaining. 

Minimum of 3 minutes additional time to be played. 

A comfortable save from Mitchell but another flutter of the heart as a shot comes in. 

Airdrie are a whisker away from taking the lead but Telfer's shot is just inches over the bar with Mitchell looking beaten. 

Is this a sign that Thistle want to protect what they have ahead of Friday? Not been Aidan's night to be fair. 

Into the final 10 minutes of the first leg. Can anyone snatch a lead to take to Firhill on Friday?

Half a chance for Airdrie inside the Thistle box but the ball drifts away from Mitchell's goal and out for a goal kick. 

It's a quite magnificent save from Hemfrey that denies Graham a headed goal from a Milne cross. The loose ball comes to Stanway and it's a great block to deny him. Big moment in this game you feel. 

It's another Airdrie free kick inside the Thistle half. It's the half that far too much of this second half is getting played in.

These are anxious moments for Thistle as they are starting to get penned in a bit. 

Thistle have gone to a 3-5-2 formation. 

The free kick goes behind without a touch for a Thistle free kick. 

Before the free kick can be taken we have a Thistle change. 

Muirhead is penalised for a foul and Airdrie will get the chance to get bodies into the box for the free kick. 

Graham back defending heads the corner clear. 

Mitchell makes a good stop low to his right with the loose ball swept behind for a corner. 

Neilson tries a long range effort that is just direct to really trouble Hemfrey. 

The corner is cleared for an Airdrie throw on the other side. 

Just as they scored early in the first half so Airdrie strike early in the second. A cross comes over from the left and it is touched home at the back post by McGill despite Mitchell's efforts to prevent it crossing the line. All-square again. 

A Fitzpatrick shot is blocked. The ball breaks back to him and this time he shoots over the bar. It's been a good positive start to the second half from Thistle. 

Back underway. No half-time changes from Thistle. 

And breathe. 

What a game of football it's been so far. Not so good for my aging heart though. 

Thistle go behind early but thanks to a wonderful goal from Luke McBeth and a close range Scott Robinson effort have Thistle in front at the end of the first 45 minutes. 

We've got it all do again in ten minutes. And then again on Friday. Play-offs - wow. 

We're in added time. I didn't see the 4th officials board. 

Thistle are in front. The ball comes in from the right, falls to Robinson right in front of goal and he knocks the ball home. 

Graham hasn't had a sniff of a chance so far but he's so close to giving Thistle the lead. He collects a McMillan and it needs great stop from Hemfrey to keep the ball out. 

There is a chance for Todorov at the back post but he can't keep his shot down and it clears the crossbar. 

Hemfrey can't hold a Milne shot. Just for a second it looks as if the ball might drop for Graham but the Airdrie keeper recovers. 

A tame shot goes wide of Mitchell's right hand post. 

There is a chance for McInroy but his shot is blocked by a defender. 

The free kick hits the wall. It comes back to Telfer and Mitchell makes a great stop with his legs. 

It's an Airdrie free kick is a dangerous position about 10 yards outside the Thistle box, right of centre.

What a way to score your first goal for the club. It's an absolute screamer from Luke McBeth that has us back level at 1-1. 

Frizzell drills in a low shot that Mitchell needs two attempts to save. 

It's been better from Thistle the last few minutes but they haven't been able to create a chance yet. 

We're going to have another break in play. This time it is Airdrie's McGill that needs some treatment. A break and a chance for some of the sting to be taken out of the game might be no bad thing for Thistle who haven't got going at all yet. 

Graham comes deep to collect the ball and he catches a sore one as an Airdrie player clatters into him. Thistle free kick but inside the Thistle half. 

Mitchell is sitting up and looks okay to continue. 

Short corner this time for Airdrie. When the ball comes in Mitchell does well to claim before being barged off the ball. He's down injured and receiving treatment. 

It's really poor defending at the corner as Thistle leave a man completely unmarked. Fortunately it is a poor header and it stays at 1-0. 

Airdrie free kick and they have a chance to load the Thistle box. 

Better and there is a hint of a chance for Thistle as the ball comes to Stanway inside the box but his shot is blocked. 

The loss of that early goal has had an impact on Thistle. Struggling to get a toe hold on a game against determined home side. 

Thistle go behind early. A cross is delivered to the back post that is headed home by Todorov. 

A dangerous looking cross from Megwa is knocked wide of goal. 

First ball into the Thistle box to defend. The referee spots a foul and it is a Thistle free kick. Frantic start as you would expect. 

Fitzpatrick floats a cross into the box that finds the head of Graham. Graham can't get any power in his header though and it is an easy save. 

Scott Robinson is immediately caught late and we have the game's first free kick. 

Kick-off in our latest play-off adventure is a little over 10 minutes away. 

The travelling support is growing in numbers and so is the atmosphere. 

Not surprisingly Kris Doolan has made a series of changes from the side that drew the league season to a close at Tannadice.
