It's not the result that we wanted for sure but this tie is not over. Not by a long way. 

Blair Alston's goal gave Thistle a vital lifeline and on another day it would have been Thistle, not Raith Rovers, that would have been going into Friday's game with an advantage. 

If you think Thistle are not capable of winning at Stark's Park on Friday, think again.

Really good low cross comes in from Ngwenya but there are no takers. 

Muirhead is penalised for a foul on Vaughan near the halfway line. Little things not going Thistle's way which is what is not wanted when 2-0 down. 

McBeth is left limping after a crunching challenge that doesn't earn Thistle a free kick. 

A couple of flicks after Fitzpatrick's deep corner but Dabrowski collects. 

Fitzpatrick has gone wide right with Ngwenya on the left. O'Reilly to centre back with McBeth pushed up into midfield. 

The corner is cleared and Thistle try and counter attack.

Rovers have been lethal in front of goal and have a two goal advantage at half-time in the 1st leg. 

There have been enough chances for Thistle to suggest that this tie isn't over yet but they absolutely can't fall further behind.

Rovers are controlling the game at the moment. Thistle struggling to see much of the ball. 

Chance for Vaughan but his snap shot goes wide of Mitchell's right hand post. Thistle haven't been in the game since going behind. 

Opportunity for Rovers on the break. Vaughan squares to Connolly who elects to go for goal rather than find Stanton to his left. It's the wrong option as Mitchell easily saves his low shot. 

A high ball is launched into the Thistle box. The clearance falls to Brown and he buries a shot past Mitchell. 

There are shouts for a Raith penalty when the ball comes off a Thistle defender following a Turner free kick but the flag is up for offside. 

Dabrowski has to push away a Fitzpatrick shot that skids across the wet Firhill surface. 

McInroy charges down a Dick drive. 

A Graham shot is blocked after a low Milne cross.

Stanway is harshly penalised for a tackle mid pitch and receives a lecture from the referee for his troubles. 

The corner eventually falls to Muirhead. His shot looks to be deflected over the bar for another corner but a goal kick is given.

Graham heads Turner's corner clear. Turner picks the ball up again and this time his low cross is sent wide by Watson. 

Dabrowski does well to collect the ball under his bar after good play from Stanway when he picks the ball up after McInroy's free kick is cleared.

The weather could scarcely be more contrasting from Friday but the atmosphere is simmering away getting ready to boil over just as it did on Friday. 

There is something very familiar about the Thistle line-up too as it is unchanged from Friday. Again right down to the choice of substitutes.
