Partick Thistle WFC is thrilled to announce that Cara Henderson will be returning for a third campaign in Red and Yellow next season.
Our number nine, who has racked up a remarkable 38 goal involvements in 72 games for the Jags in all competitions, extends her stay with the club which began in 2022 when she joined from Glasgow Women.
No Thistle player has scored more goals since our promotion to the top flight than Henderson’s 23 which includes an impressive 12 this past season.
Plenty of her goals have come at important times too with Cara scoring in each of our top six clinching games in the past two years, against Dundee United and more recently Montrose.
Now she’ll return for a new campaign aiming for a third consecutive top goalscorer award at the club as Brian Graham’s Jags push on looking to achieve even more as a team.
Cara Henderson said: “It’s been an amazing two years so far for me at Thistle so can’t wait to see what year three holds.
“We achieved so much as a team last season. It’s great to be part of a club that is growing so much on and off the pitch and hopefully we can continue that next season.
“I’ve got big aims personally for next season too, I’m looking forward to getting back in with the girls for pre-season already”
Manager Brian Graham said: “We’re delighted to bring Cara back for another year. She’s been such an important player for us over the last two season as has been seen by her finishing top scorer in both seasons.
She can undoubtedly go to further in the game so the fact she wants to continue here and feels this is the best place for her to continue to develop shows what we are doing at the club and I’m delighted to see her back in the Thistle shirt next season”
