Partick Thistle WFC are pleased to announce the signing of Georgia Gray on a permanent deal from Rangers, subject to SFA Clearence
The 18-year-old midfielder makes the switch across Glasgow having recently made her return from an ACL injury she sustained at the start of last year.
A very promising young player, Georgia has been involved in the Scotland set-up at various age levels with her most recent call-up coming back in April for the Under-19s’ European Championship qualifiers.
Also formerly of Celtic, Gray made her senior debut for Rangers on 28th August 2022 in a 5-0 win over Hamilton Accies.
Georgia said:
“Brian and Ross really sold the club to me with where they want to take things and you can really see from the outside what a great club this is.
“The team spirit and the way the club are building something, as a player you want to be involved in that.
“I know Ross from Rangers and had spoken to Jenna Ferguson and she had great things to say about the club so I’m excited to join up for next season. I’m looking forward to pre-season getting underway and meeting all my new teammates”
Manager Brian Graham said: “Georgia is a talented young player who has been unlucky with injury. She’s back now and I’m delighted to add her to the squad we’ve got here.
She’s a midfielder who has attributes that we haven’t currently got with her aggression and build in the middle of the park. She’ll really compliment our current midfielders.
“She’s another young player we’ve brought to the club and it’s great that these young players trust us as a club with their development”
