Daniel O’Reilly signed as a Jag on 9th January 2024, penning an 18-month contract at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill.
Daniel began his career in his native Republic of Ireland, before moving to London to join Fulham’s youth set up, spending four years in London developing his trade. At the age of 20, Dan returned to Ireland gaining first team football with Bray Wanderers.
Following moves between various clubs on the Emerald Isle, he picked up Drogheda United’s 2020/2021 Player of the Season award earning a move across the Irish Sea to Hamilton Academical. An almost ever present in the Accies side, the Irishman was part of the squad which lifted the SPFL Trust Trophy.
Dan spent the first part of the 2023/24 campaign with Raith Rovers where he played seven times and scored three goals before swapping Fife for Firhill in January 2024.
He would make his Jags debut as a substitute against Inverness in a 3-3 draw, however, subsequently missed over a month of time due to a calf problem.
O’Reilly was back in contention for the final few weeks of the cinch Championship season and would go on to feature in all four of Thistle’s play-off games, starting the final one against Raith Rovers at Stark’s Park.
After a full pre-season in Maryhill, Dan made an impressive start to the 2024/25 campaign and won the McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month award for September.
Shortly thereafter he put pen to paper on a contract extension, adding a further year onto his deal.
