It's full time at the Falkirk Stadium the game finishes 2-1 to the hosts.
It was a spirited performance for Thistle following the early red card. Falkirk used their man advantage all game exposing space, particularly in the centre of midfield.
There were promising debuts for Sayers, Nilsson, and the goal scorer Ablade.
Thistle end the 3rd match of the season with just 1 point on the board, although performances would not suggest this. It isn't all doom and gloom on Firhill Road, but the Jags do need to start scoring and winning.
Our next fixture is a week today, at home to Queen's Park.
Agyeman is booked for blocking a Thistle free-kick from inside our own corner quadrant.
Falkirk killing the game here as they knock the ball around the back for the 1st time all match, exposing their man advantage.
Good save from Roberts saving Shanley's cross after he skipped round O'Reilly.
Double sub for Falkirk:
OFF: Tait, MacIver
ON: Yeats, Shanley
Goal Falkirk.
Brad Spencer volleys home a cut back from around the penalty spot.
Sub for Thistle.
OFF: Aidan Fitzpatrick
ON: Charlie Sayers.
WHAT. A. SAVE.
Myles Roberts produces a worldie to tip a knuckleball effort onto the post at full stretch. Unbelievable.
As does a Thistle player...maybe.
Dylan Tait goes into the refs book during the celebration.
GGGGOOOOOAAAALLLLLL THISTLE.
Some neat work from Fitzpatrick sees TERRY ABLADE through on goal and he slides under Hogarth as 10-man Thistle get the equaliser.
Terry Ablade shoots from 20 yards but it bobbles into the arms of Hotgarth.
Substitution for Thistle:
OFF: Lee Ashcroft
ON: Logan Chalmers.
It's Brad Spencer's turn to smash over the bar for Falkirk. He does so from the edge of the box.
Thistle earn a deep free kick, Turner's floated ball is met by McBeth who heads wide.
Triple sub for Falkirk.
OFF: Oliver, Ross, Miller.
ON: Morrison, Agyeman, McKenna.
A good break from Thistle as Fitzpatrick turns the Falkirk defence with his pace. He runs out of room and cuts back to Milne 25 yards from goal. He smashes wide.
Falkirk domination continues. This time Gary Oliver clips a pull-back over the bar.
Wasiri Williams sees his throw-in rebound to his feet. He volleys well high of the target.
Falkirk should have a 2nd. They blast over from close range.
Double sub for Thistle.
Off go Ricco Diack and Casper Nilsson.
Oncoming are Stuart Bannigan and Terry Ablade.
Liam Henderson scores from 25 yards. He unleashes a piledriver that hit the roof of Roberts net.
Thistle doing well in the last couple of minutes to break up play with some counter attacks and by winning fouls.
Relentless waves of Falkirk attacks not helped by Thistle's lack of out ball as Diack and the wingers are dropping in to help defensively.
Poor play as Falkirk are caught offside from a short corner.
Wasiri, this time, who blocks the cross that leads to the corner.
Dylan Tait shoots over from 20 yards.
More pressure from the Bairns.
Roberts collects another corner comfortably.
Thistle kick off.
Half-time here in Grangemouth. This is the most drama-filled game Thistle have been involved in in a long time.
It has been all Falkirk since Stanway was sent off but Thistle are defending well, it will take a Herculean effort for Kris Doolan's men to leave here with all 3 points this afternoon.
45 still to play!
Lee Ashcroft blocks a shot on the line before Milne and Fitzpatrick combine to produce a rare Thistle attack. It ends in a fruitless cross.
The atmosphere inside the Falkirk Stadium is palpable. Both sets of fans, players, and benches right up for this as we head to half-time.
Falkirk smash the bar from 30 yards. A great effort from Dylan Tait.
Yellow for Roberts as he holds onto the ball too long.
Luke McBeth stops play for a bad looking head knock just outside the D in the Falkirk half.. Bairns fans aren't happy as they were in an advanced attacking position.
Thistle get a wide free kick and look to try something different...it leads to a few crosses but nothing in the way of a shot on target.
The in-swinger is caught by Myles Roberts as the Englishman leaps highest.
Harry Milne is earning his wage today. From nothing but deflected and blocked crosses.
Well-worked short corner is eventually blasted high, wide, and not-so-handsome by Brad Spencer.
More end-to-end football here in Grangemouth. The game has hardly had a breath. Both teams trying for the opener.
Nice move from Fitzpatrick to relieve pressure. He shows his skills and Ricco Diack has a shot saved. Attack ends in a Falkirk goal-kick.
Kyle Turner is the 3rd Jag in the book as he gets a yellow card for dissent.
Backs-to-the-wall defending from Thistle as they get the ball clear following a scramble in the box.
Thistle having to defend quite a lot following the red card, ending in getting-away-with-one as Wasiri deflects a ball over for a corner but a goal kick is given.
Ben Stanway is sent off for a second bookable offence. He dives inside the Falkirk box looking for a penalty.
Play is momentarily stopped as Calvin Miller goes down off the ball, the players head to the touchline for a drink and some words of encouragement. He seems alright to continue.
Harry Milne heads clear before Dylan Tait nearly hits the carpark with a cross.
Miller tries to beat Roberts low, at his near post, but the effort is pushed around the post.
Ricco Diack is the 2nd player into Lloyd Wilson's book this afternoon.
More good attacking play from Falkirk, all they can muster is a tame effort on goal that Roberts picks up comfortably.
Ben Stanway stops a Falkirk counter and is booked.
Good counter attack from Thistle sees the ball fall to Nilsson on the edge of the box, but his shot is blocked.
Thistle clear the corner without fuss and win a throw in 10 yards inside the Bairns half.
Great attacking play down Thistle's right side from Ethan Ross, he carries the ball from just infront of the dugouts to inside the D and shoots wide.
Kyle Turner's outswinger is met by an offside Jag and the attack is thwarted.
Early free kick for Thistle on the corner of the Falkirk box. Jags have started brightly.
Falkirk take kick off. Thistle attack the Kevin McAllistar Stand, which houses the Falkirk support.
Welcome to the Falkirk Stadium, as Thistle prepare for their 2nd away game of the season. Kris Doolan's Jags are still searching for that allusive 1st win of the campaign!
