Partick Thistle FC is thrilled to announce the signing of Terry Ablade on a season-long loan deal from Fulham, subject to Scottish FA approval and international clearance.
Ablade is a striker whose career began at FC Jazz in his native Finland, breaking into their first team set-up at the age of 16.
Not long thereafter Terry was scouted and signed by Fulham, joining up with their under 18s squad initially with his performances there earning him a promotion to the under 23s and a new contract a couple of years later.
The 22-year-old has previous loan experience at EFL League One level for AFC Wimbledon and Carlisle United making a total of 28 appearances across those two temporary switches.
Thistle manager Kris Doolan said:
“We’ve been looking at adding another striker to the squad for a while now and I’ve always maintained that the player we bring in has to provide something different to what we already have and Terry fits that bill.
“He’s got pace and a willingness to make testing runs that can really stretch the opposition and open up space for the rest of the team.
“Having only arrived last night, he was in training with us for the first time today and we were impressed with what we saw. His effort was first class and I think he’ll be a real asset for us this season.”
