Everyone at Partick Thistle FC was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong Jags fan David Smith last week.
David was born and bred in Maryhill and was a fervent jags fan for all of his 75 years, known to many as Davie the piper, playing the pipes at a few big games over the years.
David along with his son Graeme had season tickets for the last few years in the Jackie Husband Stand but David was a regular in the John Lambie Stand before then and also travelled on the city centre bus to many away games.
David’s family have asked the club to share the funeral arrangements which are 3pm at the Hurlet Crematorium (Glasgow G53 7TH) on Monday 16th September.
Rest in peace Davie – once a Jag, always a Jag.
