The Partick Thistle Gaelic Initiative travelled to the Isle of Lewis recently to hand over a signed Men’s First Team shirt to Cnoc Glas Park side Carloway FC.
The shirt is now on display at the Carloway Community Shop but will be placed in the new Carloway FC clubhouse when it is completed.
Fiona McConachie, Gaelic Project Lead at the club explained why the presentation was made by saying: “Partick Thistle gifted the jersey as a sign of friendship and to help promote Gaelic culture, language and heritage.”
“The clubs are linked through Donnie McKinnon who was a child on the Isle of Lewis and who, as well giving Partick Thistle 40 years’ service as a player and physiotherapist, turned out for Carloway as a player.”
