Nisbet has the ball at his feet at the edge of the Thistle box and his attempt to find the far corner of the net misses by a foot or so.

Zanatta tries to cut in along the goaline but runs the ball out of play. Dunfermline are coasting towards the three points against a Thistle side showing little urgency.

Kakay tries to find De Vita but Gill easily gathers the ball ahead of the Thistle sub.

Turner's corner is cleared for a Dunfermline throw on the other side of the pitch.

It's all far too easy for Dunfermline at the moment with Thistle offering next to nothing in the way of a threat.

McCann isn't too far away from connecting with a cross from the right.

There is more than a hint of good fortune surrounding this one with Turner's deflected shot leaving Fox wrong footed but that is essentially game over with 42 minutes till to play.

Thistle try to break after O'Ware heads clear turner's free kick but Zanatta can make little progress down the left.

O'Ware fouls Kiltie and Dunfermline have a free kick deep inside the Thistle half.

Cardle shoots from the right corner of the box and although Gill is forced to make a save it is a fairly easy one for the Dunfermline keeper.

Thistle nearly find a lifeline but nobody can bundle home a low Zanatta cross when a goal looked likely.

Gordon tries to control a Zanatta pass but a defender is across swiftly to clear.

It's a poor corner from Cole and Dunfermline clear.

Thistle concede an entirely avoidable goal. McGinty gets himself into trouble on the touchline midway inside his own half and loses the ball to Dow. Dow runs across field without a challenge coming in and from the lecft corner of the box finds the opposite corner with a low shot across Fox.

Dunfermline are a whisker away from a second goal. Edwards' corner is only partially cleared and Nisbet's effort comes back of the bar.

Dunfermline have been growing in confidence since their goal and Kiltie plays a pass to the feet of Nisbet at the edge of the box. Faced with McGinty he manages to find room for a shot but it goes over Fox's crossbar.

Against the run of play Dunfermline take the lead. Comrie does well to get forward down the right and his low cross is met by Nisbet whose low shot beats Fox and finds the corner of the Thistle net.

Cole takes the corner and is flicked on at the near post by McGinty but the ball is out of the reach of Gordon.

As Miller gets involved in a tangle of legs with a Dunfermline defender at the edge of the box Bannigan lifts a shot high over the Dunfermline crossbar.

Kakay has been getting into some good positions on the right and he does again and fizzes in a cross that is a shade too high for Miller or Gordon.

O'Ware makes an important intervention to clear a Dow knock down inside the Thistle box.

Best chance yet for Thistle. Kakay finds Gordon down the right hand side. He in turn moves the ball inside to Miller who finds room for himself before shooting over the bar from just outside the box.

A Miller through ball for Gordon is marginally over hit and when Gordon cuts the ball back it is cleared.

Cole picks up the ball for Thistle in the middle of the park. He sends a pass over to Cardle on the right. Gordon is able to get his head to Cardle's cross but is stretching to do so and can't keep his header down.

Dunfermline are close to opening the scoring. Dow crosses from the right and he finds Nisbet in far too much space at the back post but Fox is able to push away his header.

Kakay does well to get a cross over from the right. It's a little too high for Gordon but Sanatta collects but he can't find Gordon with his cross. Encouraging from Thistle all the same.

Dunfermline kick the game off a few minutes late and it is Thistle that try and launch the first attack with Zanatta running down the left handside but eventually runs the ball out of play.

After a difficult week for the Club there is a welcome return to action with a home fixture against Dunfermline Athletic.

Scott Allison, Gerry Britton and Kenny Miller have assumed control of team affairs for this afternoon's fixture and the team selected shows two changes from the side that drew at Arbroath last weekend.

Both Stuart Bannigan and Shea Gordon missed that fixture due to suspension and now suspension free they step back into the starting eleven.

Tommy Robson and Cammy Palmer are the two players that drop to the bench to make way for them.

The Dunfermline staerting line-up meantime includes former Jags Paul Paton, who played here last Sunday in Kris Doolan's testimonial match, and Kevin Nisbet. Ryan Scully is included among the Dunfermline subs.
