To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Partick Thistle FC, Cane and Grain International Ltd are proud to present an exceptional and highly limited release of a single cask whisky from the Caol Ila Distillery.
Founded on the Isle of Islay in 1846 and revered for its smoky flavour profile, Caol Ila (Gaelic for – the sound of Islay) is a peated Single Malt Whisky with a delicate balance of sweetness and punchy smokiness.
Embracing the art of the boutique producer, Cane and Grain have selected this single cask crafting 150 uniquely numbered small batch bottles – one for each of the years that Partick Thistle have been in existence.
This bottling is presented at 46% with no chill and natural colouring – nothing added and nothing taken away, just as the distiller intended.
Proudly created in association with Partick Thistle, this commemorative release offers a one-off opportunity to secure a piece of both football and whisky history.
Nose – elegant and refined, maritime influence with light malt notes.
Palate – bright citrus and vanilla notes upfront with wisps of smoke blossoming and developing into a full-bodied peated adventure, texture without heaviness.
Finish – coastal notes and smoky embers provide a complex, confident finish.
