It's quite the game here at Cove with the point the better for Thistle than it is Cove.
Three points against Falkirk on Thursday and the title will be Thistle's.
It/s still level but how it remains so is a mystery. A Penrice shot thumps off a defender. It spins over to MacIver whose header is clared from close, over?, the libe.
Cardle's free kick is flicked away from goal but Thistle have a throw on the far side.
Tiffoney wins Thistle a free kick wide on the left as we go deep into injury time.
Thistle clear and try to break.
Cove have a free kick on the left side near the edge of the Thistle box.
Scully shoots but straight at Sneddon who completes the save.
Docherty lifts a ball over the top of the Cove defence for MacIver to chase but the flag goes up for offside.
Sneddon gets a strong hand to a cross from the left to get it away from the Thistle goal.
McKenzie is well off his line as he punches clear a Cardle cross ahead of MacIver.
Sneddon makes a good catch under pressure to claim a Yule cross from the right hand side.
Penrice wraps his foot round a shot at the edge of the box and Thistle are a whisker away from taking the lead as the ball hits the post.
Thistle have a free kick wide on the right hand side.
Two goals in rapid succession and the game is level once more. Its another cracker as well as Tiffoney thunders a shot high into the net.
Thistle are really careless in giving away possession of ball. Strachan gathers the ball and strides forward before unlashing a shot that swerves away from Sneddon and into the net
Sneddon makes a great stop low down to deny Megginson. The ball spins to McAllister who screws his effort wide of goal. A real let off for Thistle there.
Livingstone sends a shot high over Sneddon's bar from long range.
McKenzie is off his line to claim a lofted ball into the box from Rudden.
The free kick is actually a little further out that first looked and McAllister drills a low effort just wide of Sneddon's left hand post.
Cove have a free kick almost right on the edge of the Thistle box.
Rudden is able to gather a ball and advance towards the Cove goal but he never really has the ball under control and he spoons his shot high over the bar.
Cardle has the ball wide on the left but has to delay his cross waiting for support and when he does cross the ball is cleared.
Foster heads clear Fyvie's free kick.
Gordon collects a yellow card for a foul on Yule and Cove have a free kick in a dangerous position.
The second half is so far following the open nature of the first and Sneddon is required to make a good stop with his legs to deny Megginson.
Thistle are nearly back in front inside the first few seconds of the second half and it would have been a bizarre goal. Rudden has the ball at his feet inside the box but is crowded out and the danger looks to have been cleared only for the ball to bounce towards the net and is cleared off the line.
Thistle make a change at the interval.
The opening 45 minutes have flown by and the teams go in at the break with things all square at 1-1.
Zak Rudden gave Thistle an early lead flicking home a Tiffoney free kick but Cove levelled through a McAllister penalty.
Both sides have had chances since them but there have been no further goals despite a very open game of football.
Break in play while Cove's Fyvie receives some treatment.
Foster gets across quickly from the left to get the ball away from Megginson.
Tiffoney gets over a good cross from the left that Rudden is able to glance towards goal but McKenzie is able to save.
McIntosh threads through a pass from McAllister inside the Thistle box but Sneddon is sharp off his line and is able to block.
Gordon makes a great interception to whip the ball away from McAllister.
Thistle are nearly gifted a goal. Murray's cross from the right is missed by a defender providing Rudden with a chance that McKenzie is able to block.
The deep corner is well defended but Cove win a throw deep inside the Thistle half.
Rudden and Tiffoney combine to work the ball to Docherty at the edge of the box. Docherty elects now to shoot and tries to find Murray but the ball is cleared.
Thistle have a throw down by the Cove corner flag.
Rudden crosses from the right but although Graham gets his head to it he can't direct it away from the clutches of McKenzie.
McAllister makes no mistake with a confidently taken penalty sent to Sneddon's right.
Bell is rash with a challenge at the corner of the box and Thistle can have no complaints about the award of a penalty.
Murray has the ball in the net after some great play from Rudden but it lookss as if Rudden had taken the ball out of play before crossing for Murray.
Williamson was set to come on but Bell is back on the pitch.
Bell is back on his feet but liming quite heavily. Thistle could be forced into an early change.
There is going to be a break in play as Bell picks up a knock and needs a spot of treatment.
Docherty's low cross is cleared as Thistle press for a second goal.
Dream start for Thistle. Tiffoney takes the free kick and is low cross is flicked home by Rudden.
Tiffoney is fouled wide on the left. No yellow card this time though.
Docherty's challenge on Fyvie earns him an early yellow card.
First effort at either goal comes from the home side. Foster is a little hesitant with a clearance and Scully has an effort from the edge of the box that Sneddon is happy to see go over his crossbar.
There is almost a chance for Rudden as a long throw comes into the box but Rudden fouls a defender and Cove have a free kick.
Thistle kick the game off.
It's another big night for Thistle as they face title rivals Cove Rangers on a cold and blustery night in Aberdeen.
Ian McCall makes one change to the side that started against Airdrie at the weekend with Connor Murray getting the nod to start ahead of Joe Cardle.
On the bench there is a welcome return for goalkeeper Kieran Wright
