It's stalemate at Cappielow. 

Neither side deserved to lose this game but equally neither did enough to claim that they should have taken all three points. 

A Dowds header goes well wide of goal as time in this game starts to run out. A draw doesn't really suit either side. 

Into whatever additional time the referee decides to add on. 

McMillan finds Turner wide. Turner lifts a high ball into the box. Graham is there to meet it but is stretching to do so and there in no real power to his header and Schwake makes a routine save. 

Schwake is there to claim a McMilllan cross. 

McMillan is required to make an important interception in front of the Thistle goal. 

Schwake claims a Docherty cross ahead of Graham. 

Turner's free kick strikes the Morton wall. It looks to catch Crawford in the face and we'll have a break in play. 

Dowds is fouled winning Thistle a free kick within range of the Morton goal. 

Nearly for Thistle. Turner lays the ball in to the feet of Tiffoney but his shot is blocked by Schwake with the ball rebounding off Tiffoney and out for a goal kick. 

It's all getting a bit ill-tempered here. Flurry of yellow cards including one for Morton manager Imrie. 

Graham's flicked pass finds Turner. It starts to open up in front of Turner but his shot is blocked by a defender. 

We're seeing a bit more action inside the penalty boxes now. Robbie Crawford has a shot for Morton but is leaning back as he hits the ball and it goes over the crossbar. 

Nearly a chance for Thistle at a Turner corner but Baird is able to nod the ball back to his goalkeeper. 

Muirhead collects a Brownlie clearance and from long range fires in a shot that Mitchell is happy to see go wide. 

Tiffoney tries an audacious effort from just inside the Morton half. It drifts wide but worth a go. 

That's probably Thistle's best chance. Excellent play from Milne gets the ball to Tiffoney. He cuts the ball back to Docherty who should do better than lift the ball over the crossbar. 

Turner goes to ground inside the box after collecting Lawless' pass. Any appeals for a penalty comes from the Thistle fans behind the goal rather than the players on the pitch. 

The referee spots a push as Turner's corner comes over and Morton have a free kick. 

It's a corner but Thistle might have expected better when Graham collected Turner's pass. 

No goals at the end of the first half. 

It's been a game of both teams trying to feed off scraps in and around the penalty box with no real clear cut chances from open play. 

The best chance was a Muirhead free kick that Mitchell did well to save. 

Thistle have done well to limit the opportunities for the home side especially as they have lost both starting centre backs to injury during the first half. 

Thistle are finishing the half well. There are appeals for a free kick on the edge of the Morton box and when a free kick is not given McMillan drags a shot wide of goal. 

Thistle can't find a telling pass at the edge of the Morton box. 

Lawless lifts a clever ball into the box but Tiffoney can get enough on the ball to trouble Schwake. 

We are in first half injury time. I suspect we are looking at about 5 minutes of that. 

Docherty clears the corner at the front post. 

Mitchell is able to watch a shot from the edge of the box go wide of his right hand post. 

After a fairly lengthy delay Brownlie replaces the injured McAvoy. 

This could be more injury problems for Thistle as McAvoy goes down in some pain. The physio is on now but it looks as if another change will be needed. 

Turner's corner is too high for everyone. Thistle pick up the loose ball and there is nearly a chance for McAvoy but he stumbles and the ball goes out for a goal kick. 

A neat flick from Graham almost gives Lawless a chance inside the box but the ball is cleared before he can find room for a shot. 

Holt and Docherty collide and Docherty comes off worse and goes down. Play is stopped but Docherty looks okay to continue without the need of any treatment.

Better from Thistle as McMillan sees his cross cleared. 

Thistle's use of the ball so far has been poor and with Morton's high press it's been an uncomfortable start for Thistle. 

Aaron Muirhead isn't able to continue and Kevin Holt comes on. 

Lawless and Tiffoney try to work that short corner routine we've seen a few times. It doesn't come off this time. 

Mitchell makes an excellent save low to his left to keep out Muirhead's free kick. 

It's a Morton free kick right on the very edge of the Thistle box in a central position. Anxious moment this. 

Muirhead is back on but not moving entirely freely. Something to be monitored in the next few minutes. 

With Muirhead still off, Thistle are a man down at the corner. Mitchell gets a fist to it the ball breaking to Alistair Crawford who shoots wide. 

There is no offside flag when Robbie  Crawford gets clear of the Thistle defence. Muirhead makes a great last ditch challenge to nip the ball off him and behind for a corner but is injured in the process and we have a bit of a delay while he is treated. 

It's an uncomfortable moment for Morton and they don't deal with Turner's free kick giving Muirhead a chance but he sends the ball over the bar. 

Tiffoney is caught late wide on the left and Thistle will have a chance to test the Morton defence with the free kick. 

Thistle kick off and are defending the traditional away end in the opening 45 minutes. 

The Cappielow pitch is looking in good condition for one that was subjected to a 11am pitch inspection before being passed fit for play. 

Whether the game would be on or not may have been the only thing on manager Kris Doolan's mind this morning as he simply said 'same again' and selected the same starting eleven that defeated Raith Rovers last weekend. 

The only changes are on the bench with both Jamie Sneddon and Anton Dowds fit to return although neither earns a start. 

Queen's Park's win over Cove Rangers last night means that both sides desperately need all three points this afternoon to keep in touch with the league leaders.
