Thistle fling away two points in a game that up to the 80th minute they were in complete control of. 

The ball is in the hands of Cove keeper Gourlay. This game looks done. 

We're deep in injury time but Thistle have a throw and a chance to get the ball into the Cove box once their latest injured player has received some on pitch treatment. One last chance? 

The 90 minutes have come and gone. Into injury time now. 

Holt's header from a Bannigan cross goes narrowly over the Cove crossbar. 

Fitzpatrick is pulled back as he bursts clear. 

Dowds looks for a foul that he is never going to get. 

Fitzpatrick's back heel after good work from Turner is blocked. 

Thistle fail to deal with Logan's corner. The ball drops to Reynolds and he smashes the ball home. 

Mitchell has to pull off an excellent stop with his legs to deny Megginson an equaliser as suddenly a game Thistle were in complete control of is in the balance. 

We've suddenly got a game on our hands. Logan's free kick is nodded on, and Reynolds is able to find the net via a deflection. 

Cove miss an excellent chance to haul themselves back into this game. Longstaff crosses from the right but at the back post Fyvie can't hit target with his header. 

Two of the three Thistle subs nearly combine to score a third goal. Dowds flicks on and Fitzpatrick's first time effort is only narrowly wide. 

We have a break in play while McMillan receives some treatment. It doesn't look as if he will be able to continue.

Turner's low near post corner is cleared. 

Muirhead clears the corner and Thistle quickly find themselves deep in the Cove half. 

Thistle clear the corner but a handball from Turner keeps the pressure on the Thistle goal with a free kick. 

He doen't score many but he caps his birthday with the vital second Thistle goal. He collects Lawless' cross, and his low shot finds the net. He runs the full length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the John Lambie Stand who sing "Happy Birthday". 

Megginson has his back to goal inside the Thistle box. He is able to turn though but sees his shot blocked by a Jags defender. 

Still the Thistle chances come. This time Graham is on the end of a Turner free kick but he can't keep the ball down and it goes over the bar. 

It's been a dominant performance from Thistle but at the end of the opening 45 minutes they have just one goal, an excellent effort from the edge of the box from Stevie Lawless, to show for that dominance. 

Docherty takes the free kick, but he can't get it on target. 

Tiffoney is fouled at the left hand corner of the Cove box. 

Tiffoney cuts in from the left but can't find a way past Gourlay with his shot. It really should be much more than just 1-0 as we approach half-time. 

Muirhead slips at the edge of his own box nearly gifting Cove an opportunity but he is able to recover. 

It's Turner himself that takes the free kick, but his effort is about a foot too high and Gourlay can watch the ball go over the bar. 

Turner is fouled and Thistle will have a free kick just outside the Cove box and slightly right of centre. 

It's an anxious moment for Thistle as a ball over the top of the defence finds Megginson but he's quickly under pressure and Mitchell is able to collect. 

The Lawless/ McMillan combination nearly produces a second Thistle goal, but Gourlay is able to save McMillan's effort from a tight angle. 

Thistle break from the corner and Tiffoney has the ball deep inside the Cove box. He ignores Lawless to his left and is eventually crowded out. 

Thistle are under a bit of pressure as they never really clear the short corner that Scully and Leitch work together. 

The only surprise is that it has taken Thistle until the 16th minute to open the scoring, but it is worth the wait. Lawless finds space at the edge of the box and fires a shot high past Gourlay and into the net. 

Gourlay saves at the feet of Graham as Thistle miss another excellent opportunity. 

Gourlay allows a Tiffoney shot to escape his grasp but he is able to cling on at the second attempt. 

Cove look for a second corner as a header goes over the bar but there is no deflection and play restarts with a goal kick. 

Fyvie's cross nearly deceives Mitchell but he manages to get a hand to it and the ball round the post. 

Lawless and McMillan again combine but this time McMillan gets too much elevation on his cross looking for the back post and the ball goes out for a goal kick. 

It's still 0-0 but I'm not quite sure how. Lawless' gem of a pass finds McMillan. He can't find a team mate with his cut back but the ball falls to Graham. He mishits his shot but the ball spins to an off balance Tiffoney who can't knock the ball home. 

Tiffoney's pass nearly finds Turner's forward run as Thistle continue to do all the early pressing. 

Thistle threaten again. McMillan works the ball out to Milne wide on his left and his deep cross just fails to pick out a Thistle player. 

And it's nearly a goal for Thistle inside the first minute as Tiffoney bursts into the box only to see his shot well saved by Gourlay. 

Cove get the game underway. Thistle are shooting towards the John Lambie Stand in the first half.
