94’Full Time Report

Aidan Fitzpatrick's late goal is enough to secure all three points for Thistle.

94’Full Time

90’+03’

Dunfermline free kick on the halfway line. Dunfermline push everyone forward. Megwa clears.

90’

Into added time. Like the first half there should be quite a bit of that.

89’

Man of the Match: Kanayo Megwa

88’Goal Thistle! Aidan Fitzpatrick
Thistle 1 - Dunfermline Athletic 0

Just when you thought that this was destined to finish goalless Aidan Fitzpatrick picks up the ball. He has the option to pass to Milne but elects to shoot himself and his shot beats Mehmet.

84’

Fitzpatrick takes the free kick but O'Reilly can't keep his header down and Dunfermline have a goal kick.

83’

Thistle free kick near the edge of the Dunfermline box. In line with the 6 yard box.

83’Dunfermline Athletic Booking - Kieran Ngwenya

80’

The Chalmers corner is headed well wide by O'Reilly.

80’Thistle corner from the right

78’

Dunfermline free kick in from the right touchline.

77’

Crowd: 4.301

76’Dunfermline Athletic substitution: Craig Wighton replaces Chris Kane
76’Dunfermline Athletic substitution: Josh Cooper replaces Kane Ritchie-Hosler

76’

Stanway is fouled and Thistle have a free kick midway inside the Dunfermline half.

75’

Fitzpatrick's corner is headed clear by Kane.

75’Thistle corner from the left

74’

Comfortable save from Roberts from a Ritchie-Hosler shot.

73’Thistle Booking - Aaron Muirhead
72’Thistle substitution: Logan Chalmers replaces Terry Ablade

71’

Yet another foul on Ablade. This time the Thistle striker is left in a heap inside his own half.

70’

So close. Fitzpatrick takes the free kick and Muirhead's header comes off the bar.

69’

Ablade is fouled wide on the right. He might need some treatment before the free kick can be taken.

66’Thistle substitution: Ben Stanway replaces Kyle Turner

62’

Ritchie-Hosler goes down and although there is a brief break in play there is no visit, this time, from the Dunfermline physio.

60’

Dunfermline don't go direct into the box with the free kick and instead work an opportunity to cross. When the ball does come into the Thistle box Fisher's header slides just wide of target.

60’Thistle Booking - Kyle Turner

59’

Another free kick against Thistle. Wide on the left this time.

59’

Todd's tame effort strikes the Thistle wall.

58’

Milne wins the ball from Otoo but is judged to have fouled the Dunfermline player and the Pars have a free kick within range of the Thistle goal.

56’Dunfermline Athletic substitution: Craig Clay replaces Lewis McCann

52’

Mehmet just gets to Ablade's through ball ahead of Graham but the flag is up for offside in any case.

45’

Early chance for Thistle. Megwa crosses from the right but Fitzpatrick's shot is blocked. Thistle remain on the attack until an Ablade header clears the bar.

45’

Back underway. No Thistle changes at the break.

45’Kick-Off (2nd half)
45’+04’Half Time Report

Pele once described football as the beautiful game. He wouldn't had he been watching this game.

45’+04’Half-Time

There is no time to take the corner.

45’+04’Thistle corner from the left

45’+03’

Ablade is fouled. Thistle free kick. Detect a theme here?

45’+02’

Turner is fouled as he clears and Thistle have the latest in a long line of free kicks.

45’+02’

Dunfermline free kick midway inside the Thistle half.

45’

Into additional time at the end of the first half. Should be quite a bit of that.

43’

The ball hits the referee after the corner is cleared.

42’Dunfermline Athletic substitution: Sam Fisher replaces Tommy Fogarty

Before the corner a Dunfermline change.

41’Dunfermline Athletic corner from the right

39’

Ritchie-Holser has a shot from the edge of the Thistle box that is just wide of Roberts' right hand post.

37’

McBeth is just inches too high with his header from Turner's corner.

37’Thistle corner from the right

33’

Todd and Otto work a short corner. Todd gets the ball back and crosses into the box where a Hamilton header clears the Thistle crossbar.

32’Dunfermline Athletic corner from the right

24’

Mehmet just gets to the ball ahead of Ablade.

23’Dunfermline Athletic substitution: Matthew Todd replaces David Wotherspoon

22’

Another Dunfermline player down and another break in play.

21’Dunfermline Athletic Booking - Chris Hamilton

Hamilton escapes with a yellow card for a shocker of a challenge on Megwa.

18’

Kane does down after McBeth comes within a few feet of him and we have yet another break in play. Physio doesn't come on but Kane ties his laces.

16’

The referee spots a push from O'Reilly at the edge of the Dunfermline box and the game is stopped for another infringement.

15’Dunfermline Athletic Booking - Tommy Fogarty

13’

Another crude on a Thistle player, Milne this time. The Dunfermline player comes off worse this time and needs treatment with the referee standing over him.

12’

Turner with the corner. O'Reilly heads on and Crawford's flicked header goes wide. Thistle on top early.

12’Thistle corner from the right

10’

Fitzpatrick is back on and not for the first time this afternoon is fouled.

09’

After a bit of a delay Fitzpatrick is back on his feet.

07’

Turner's corner goes deep looking for O'Reilly. It's headed clear towards the edge of the box where Fitzpatrick is penalised for a foul. Fitzpatrick comes off worse though and play is halted while he receives some treatment.

07’Thistle corner from the left
02’Thistle corner from the left

Megwa bursts forward down the right and his cross is nearly diverted into his own net by a Dunfermline defender. It's been a good, positive, start from Thistle.

00’

Thistle, and Aidan Fitzpatrick, get us underway. Thistle shooting towards the John Lambie Stand in the first half.

00’Kick-Off

00’Introduction

Kick-off is now just a little under 20 minutes away and the team news is in.

There is a new in the Thistle starting eleven with new loan signing Kanayo Megwa going straight into the team.

The only other change from the side that started at Ayr last Saturday sees Aidan Fitzpatrick come back into the starting eleven with Ben Stanway dropping to the bench.
