It's a real missed opportunity for Thistle who produce a poor display and have to twice come from behind to get even a single point from a 2-2 draw.
Although Thistle pressed for a winner and twice came close in the latter stages of the game Forfar were every bit as likely as the home side to snatch a winner and may well have done so had a Moore shot not crashed off the Thistle crossbar.
Graham nods the ball on for Gordon whose effort is agonisingly wide of target.
Deep into injury time now.
Penrice shoots right footed from the edge of the box and his effort isn't only a foot or so wide. Time running out on Thistle though.
Tiffoney twists his way into the box and goes to ground looking for a penalty but only collects a yellow card for his efforts.
It's a poor free kick and Forfar try to break.
Thistle have a free kick about 35 yards from the Forfar goal. Bannigan is over the ball.
The crossbar saves Thistle as Moore's effort beats Sneddon.
The Forfar sub is quickly involved in the action but he can't enough pace on the ball or divert it sufficiently away from Sneddon to find the net.
Thistle are going to finish this game with 10 men s Erskine has to go off injured. Looks to be a hamstring injury.
With Thistle pressing there are gaps for Forfar to exploit on the break and on this break they have players over. Anderson has it at the right hand corner of the Thistle box but his shot is poor and goes wide.
A powerful Erskine shot goes just over the bar via a deflection.
Erskine feeds Tiffoney to his left and although his cross is cleared there is suddenly a bit of a zip to Thistle's play.
Williamson gets another cross over from the right but this time it is behind any Thistle player inside the box.
From nowhere Thistle are level. Williamson crosses from right and Graham is there to steer the ball home.
Sneddon gets just enough of a fist to the corner to get it clear.
Brownlie gets away from his marker to meet Cardle's corner but his header is blocked close to the goal line.
Tiffoney has the ball at his feet inside the Forfar box, albeit at a angle, and sends a shot high over the bar. Still no hint of a Thistle equaliser.
Murray collects the ball at the left hand side of the Forfar box but his low cross is cleared.
Thistle are lucky to still be in this game. Shepherd has too much pace for Brownlie and it takes a fine stop from Sneddon who spreads himself well to prevent a third Forfar goal.
Thistle have offered nothing since the restart.
A Brownlie slip nearly gifts Forfar a third goal but they can't take advantage of the chance presented to them and have to settle for a corner.
Thistle make three changes at the break and win an early corner but can't make anything of it.
A dreadfully poor first half display is in danger of undoing the good work done at Airdrie at the weekend.
For the second game in a row Thistle fell behind to an early goal and for the second game in a row fashioned an equaliser.
This time Thistle were unable to build upon that and fell behind again with half-time approaching.
Ian McCall will have much work to do at the interval and you wonder after making so many changes from Saturday's team how long it will be before he looks to his substitute bench.
Forfar threaten the Thistle goal again as Moore has the ball on the left of the Thistle box but this time the ball is cleared.
We're into first half injury time of which there should be plenty.
Thistle can't clear as Sneddon punches clear Scally's free kick. The ball is drilled back towards the Thistle goal where Fenwick grabs his second of the night.
A Niang push earns Forfar a free kick wide on the left.
Shepherd is able to fire a shot towards the Thistle goal but it comfortably clears the Thistle crossbar. Forfar are the side on top as we approach the 45 minute mark.
Bell slices the ball over his own crossbar.
That long delay for treatment to Sneddon seems to have halted Thistle momentum having levelled the scores.
After a lengthy delay Sneddon is fit to continue and we are back underway.
Sneddon is still receiving treatment as Thistle could be forced into a change of goalkeeper.
This is a crazy game at the moment. Sneddon comes out his box to head clear but doesn't return to his box even though Forfar pick up the loose ball. Shepherd has the ball deep inside the Thistle box before Sneddon does get back an does well to whip the ball off the Forfar players toes but injures himself in the process.
Forfar appeal for a penalty for handball but the free kick goes Thistle's way just a split second before the ball is fired into the back of the Thistle net.
It's Docherty's turn to have an effort on goal but his shot from the edge of the box goes wide of Hoban's left hand post.
Penrice gets to the bye line but Rudden can't get on the edge of his cross.
It's all Thistle at the moment and a low Cardle shot produces another, much more comfortable save, from Hoban.
Cardle knocks this corner to Bannigan at the corner of the box who returns the ball to Cardle whose cross is cleared.
Cardle's corner is cleared as far as Murray at the edge of the box. His shot fuly tests Hoban who does well to push the ball to safety.
Thistle are level and not a moment too soon and for the third came in a row Connor Murray gets his name on the scoresheet. It's an excellent curling finish from the left hand corner of the box that goes in off the post.
The second of two quick Cardle corners finds the head of Bell whose header comes off the crossbar.
A Murray shot takes a deflection wide of goal.
It is a good delivery from Cardle but Docherty can't get enough on his header and Hoban is able to save.
MacIver is fouled and Thistle win a free kick on the left with the chance to deliver a cross into the box.
Anderson drills a cross low to the front post where it is collected by Sneddon. Thistle not looking secure at all at the back at the moment.
A low shot from Penrice from outside the box forces Hoban into a save low to his right. It's a fairly comfortable save for the Forfar keeper.
Cardle has space inside the box as Thistle look to make an immediate response but he elects not to shoot first time and any chance is lost.
Nightmare start for Thistle. Nditi crosses from the right and Fenwick shoots low past Sneddon and into the net. The Thistle keeper will feel he could have done better with that.
Thistle kick the game off and are shooting towards the John Lambie Stand in the first half.
With so many games being played in a short space of time it is inevitable that there will be an element of squad rotation and Ian McCall's team selection this evening is reflective of that.
The manager makes six changes to the side that started against Airdrie at the weekend, a luxury not open to him before the enforced break.
Jamie Sneddon, James Penrice, Steven Bell, Zak Rudden, Ross MacIver and a fit again Ross Docherty, who skippers the side, all get a start tonight.
Kieran Wright, Darren Brownlie, Brian Graham, Shea Gordon, Scott Tiffoney and Richard Foster are the players that will start this game on the bench.
