Despite conceding the game's first goal, Thistle consolidate their position at the top of the league with a sparkling performance that sees them run out emphatic 5-1 winners. They can even afford the luxury of a missed penalty.
Tiffoney is a whisker away from the sixth Thistle goal the fans are asking for with a shot that just clears the crossbar.
Man of the Match: Stuart Bannigan
Schwake saves but can't hold a Turner shot and the ball falls nicely to Dowds who tucks the ball home.
That should seal the win. Tiffoney is faced by two defenders. He goes round the side of them both, cuts inside and from a tight angle finds the far corner of the net.
Mitchell collects a Strapp long throw at his front post.
Cries of "shoot" as the ball falls to Muirhead outside the Morton box. He does shoot but he skies the ball high over the bar.
Holt once more gets his head to the ball, but this time Schwake collects from underneath his crossbar.
A burst of pace from Tiffoney has the Morton defence back peddling and it takes a touch from Schwake to push Tiffoney's effort over the bar.
Holt nods on Turner's corner but the ball is cleared from the edge of the 6 yard box.
Crowd: 2,932
It's a patient build up for Thistle before Lawless tries t squeeze a shot under Schwake who saves.
Turner's corner is too deep.
O'Connor has a shot from the edge of the Thistle box, but it is a poor effort that clears Mitchell's crossbar.
Holt's penalty thumps off the bar as Thistle miss a great opportunity to all but seal the points.
Docherty is barged in the box.
Turner's pass finds Tiffoney but from a tight angle Tiffoney can't find a Thistle player with his cross.
It is too far out for a direct effort on goal, but it produces a goal all the same. Turner clips the free kick for Holt to head on for Muirhead to apply the finish from 6 yards out.
A tug on Milne wins Thistle a free kick about 30 yards from the Morton goal. Probably a bit too far to the left for a direct shot at goal.
Kabia this time with the Morton corner which is well defended by Thistle.
Muirhead makes an important interception as Morton threaten down the right and his Morton namesake lurking behind him.
Milne is quickly involved at the other end with a long range shot that is always on the rise meaning that Schwake isn't called upon to mae a save.
It's a good corner from Muirhead but Milne is there to meet it and head clear.
It's been an odd first half but one that Thistle lead at the end of.
A bright start from Thistle nearly brought reward but they fell behind to a stunning Robbie Muirhead free kick after 16 minutes.
For a spell Thistle looked to have lost their way but a Brian Graham header after 26 minutes levelled things and a Kevin Holt header seven minutes later had Thistle in front. A lead that they just managed to hold on to before the half-time whistle.
A long throw from Strapp is flicked on for Muirhead whose header goes over the bar.
Graham has the ball on the left side of the Morton box. He tries to curl a shot into the opposite corner, but the ball is going wide when McKinnon does well to keep the ball in but his header lands on the top of the net.
Blues tries a long range effort that dips but dips too late to trouble Mitchell.
It's a near thing in front of the Thistle goal as Muirhead, in tons of space, can only glance a header wide of the Thistle goal.
Things get a bit heated after Graham is penalised for a foul near he halfway line.
Nearly a third for Thistle. Milne finds Bannigan who lifts a cross to the back post where Graham can't quite find the direction on his header to find the net.
The game has been turned and Thistle are in front as Kevin Holt's back post header from McKinnon's corner finds the net.
Milne is fouled and Thistle will have a free kick wide on the left.
A hugely timely equaliser for Thistle who were struggling to make much impression since falling behind. McMillan crosses from the right and although Graham's header isn't perhaps the strongest it is still enough to beat Schwake.
It is a poor corner although Thistle do win a throw when it is cleared.
Morton have a goal kick. Referee Collum instructs the keeper to use one of the balls sitting behind the goal rather than the one rolling away from goal.
We're going to have a break in play for Kabia to receive some treatment. I think we can expect to see Morton slow things down as much as possible now that they have the lead. We were already seeing that with the game at 0-0.
It's a wonderful free kick from Robbie Muirhead that leaves Mitchell with little chance.
Holt fouls Blues and Morton are going to have another free kick in a dangerous position. Much more central this time but a good 30 yards from goal.
Kabia makes a mess of the free kick but Milne is going to have watch himself for the rest of the game after collecting that early booking.
Milne's tackle on Kabia earns him a yellow card and Morton a free kick near the left hand corner of the Thistle box.
After a positive Thistle opening Morton have been more involved in things in the last few minutes and without creating a clear chance have posed the Thistle defence some problems.
Thistle are close again. This time Holt's header is just wide.
It's nearly an early opener for Thistle. McKinnon and Lawless work a clever short corner. Lawl4ss spins to create space and crosses for Graham whose header comes off the bar via a deflection.
A positive start from Thistle as Milne crosses from the left. Graham's flick though doesn't trouble the Morton keeper.
Thistle get the game underway and will be shooting towards the City End in the first half.
After ringing the changes for the SPFL Trust Trophy tie against Falkirk last weekend there is an altogether more familiar look to Ian McCall's starting eleven this afternoon.
Of the side that started against Falkirk just Jack McMillan, Stuart Bannigan and Cammy Smith start today.
In come David Mitchell, Harry Milne, Kevin Holt, Brian Graham, Steven Lawless, Cole McKinnon, Aaron Muirhead and Ross Docherty.
There is a strong look to the Thistle bench as they look to retain their top of the table position with three points against Morton.
